How is Mandragora rated?

Earlier, I have already visited this restaurant with my spouse. That time I had a beautiful time that’s why I organized our next business dinner here. I had super high expectations and I have already faced when my expectations are high, the restaurant could not...fulfill it. This time it was not the case. Mandragora really overachieved my expectation. We had a great time with a great food. Great plates, great service everything was beautiful. The duck was one of the best I had ever had. If I need to say something: due to the rain, some guests came in from the balcony, they had a wet dog and the dog went around the restaurant it bothered other guest and crew did not ask to control the dog. It’s topic, guests not respecting each other not about the place. I’m fully convinced this is still my favorite restaurant in Budapest. I’m sure I will come back here again again and again.More

Thoroughly recommended.

We had a wonderful meal in this great restaurant, the duck was delicious and the presentation beautiful. The owners were so kind they emailed the next day to say they found a bag I thought I had lost, during the day. What a pleasant surprise....I can't praise them enough.More

Excellent

The most amazing lunch was enjoyed on the shaded terrace in the late September sun. I chose from the lunch menu, offering great value varied dishes, including a good range of Hungarian cuisine. A very good Tokai wine washed down a very enjoyable meal, made...better by the friendly staff.More

Good Choice: Very tasty food, good service with a nice terrace!

We went to this restaurant as per my Hungarian friend`s advice. We ordered business lunch choices which have more economical prices for the same food selections in the menu. We ordered, meat, soup, mixed plate...All of us were satisfied about the food quality, smiling faces...service and nice terrace atmosphere. This restaurant deserves the applause. I recommend it. Their prices are not high as per their range. However, on the other hand, new food tax (27%) is annoying and increasing the total bills. Restaurants are not happy either. Traveller must ask the total prices before he would be faced with a scandal bill.More

Great spot, nice food and relaxing surroundings

Very peaceful spot on the Buda side Lounge music, great staff never pressing. I decided to pick a dish that many clients underestimate and many chef do wrong, thinking the average tourist does not value quality in simple things Well ... Top notch. The fried...chicken was so light, it reminded me the tempura technique. The mashed potatoes were great too.More

Great food, even better service.

Came straight from the AirPort to have lunch. The customer service was absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent restaurant.

We visited this restaurant with my girlfriend, one of the best that we have visited in a while, great service, the food was excellent. For sure this was not the last time we came here.

Great food and fabulous service!

Fantastic food with outstanding service. We were delighted by the secluded location of a moody and serene patio on a hot summer evening. Best duck I had in a very long time. Amazing place

Searching for a place to eat and enjoy a glass of wine, we stummbled over Mandragora. The food was great. We had chicken in crust with mashed potatoes, and gnnochi with pork neck. Wonderful restaurant.

Exceeded all our expectations! Food was utterly amazing and the restaurant was lovely. Bit of a trek to get to from where we were staying (but the trams are the way to go!) but so utterly worth it. If you go try the Hungarian Gin...before you eat and pair your meal with Hungarian wine. Such a lovely evening.More

Fine Dining Modern Hungarian
