Really nice food of high quality with very nice service from the waiters... Try the Trio plate with Tenderloin from Argentina, Hungary and Australia 😋 Top it off with adding an extra piece of tenderloin from USA and get the best from 4 countries 👍
Also try the Japanese wagyo beef... You dont need a knife, just a spoon 😅 really delicious 👌 Highly recommended from here ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent steakhouse with sky high quality and standards, amazing flavours and excellent, professional service.
I visited several steakhouse in Europe but I can say that Pampas was clearly the best experience by far.
You can easily expect the quality of food and service higher than Gaucho in London for a more reasonable price.
They have an extraordinary selection of the very best steaks and unique wines from all around the world.
The wine list is huge but simply outstanding and well selected.
My USDA prime tenderloin steak was cooked to perfection, well seasoned and seared by the best standards, please see photo attached.
The texture, flavour, colour and the smell of my steak and all of the garnish -grilled veg, pampas potatoes , mushroom sauce- was just excellent.
Special thanks and well well done to the waiter, Balazs who represented the high standards with his very professional, European quality service and an all round knowledge of every single dish, cooking method and wine.
The restaurant is very neat and stylish yet cosy with silver service standards, but you can still feel relaxed and personally welcomed without the too much of "elite rules" of fine dining.
Thank you and huge well done team Pampas, amazing job and high standards.
I'll be back as soon as possible.
Many Thanks
Miki

Dined here on a recent trip to Budapest and would highly recommend this restaurant if you like excellent service and enjoy high quality steak, cooked to perfection. We ordered the Argentinian Tenderloin which was complemented with a bottle of Malbec, recommended by the waiter and both were excellent. If you are visiting Budapest then this is a must, of course you can find somewhere less expensive to eat, but why would you, when you can eat here and enjoy quality and value.

Quite a fancy setting but still not overly pricey. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to recommend dishes based on personal preferences. The food was cooked nicely, the menu was vast and we were served our food promptly. I have no complaints about this restaurant.

We eat lunch here and found the steaks to be the best we have tasted in a very long time!
The service was excellent, friendly yet professional. One of us suffers from food allergies and they even brought warm gluten free bread and olive oil! The steaks were just divine, cooked to perfection and cut like you you placing your knife in butter. We drank a glass of the house red wine which was a great choice.
It was a shame we only found this restaurant on our last day as we visited the nearby food market otherwise we would have returned. If you enjoy a prefect flavourful steak, good service and good wine this is the place for you! Highly recommended!

The meal from start to finish was outstanding. We made a reservation here weeks before our trip to Budapest and I’m super glad we did as it was very busy there and the whole evening was perfect. The staff are so friendly and very helpful (they recommended the most beautiful wine) the steak was 100% the best I have EVER tasted. It’s very well priced and I have nothing bad at all to say. If I ever go back to Budapest my first stop will be here for sure! Too tip - have the garlic mash it’s Devine.

Half of the restaurant was empty we arrived at 9pm close is 10pm was told that we wouldn’t be able to get a seat as not booked although there was plenty not even given the option to eat outside. I have been here so many times and never had to book as the food is great and service used to be. I used to feel welcome and valued as a customer but it would appear they’d rather pick and choose customers. I’ve had free drinks from the manager for my reviews on here before now and now I can’t even get a table?? If the place was full I’d understand but when it’s half empty and not even given the option to sit outside I can honestly say I’ll be surprised if I ever want to go back. You would think after everything that’s happened in the hospitality business in the last couple years you would value young customers of over 5-6years.

During all my travels abroad, both for work and as a tourist, it has never happened to me to be bounced off from the same restaurant two consecutive evenings. The first evening, being the first of the trip to Budapest, my partner and I understood the reason of the waiter who told us that the restaurant would close at 10pm (closing time at least unusual). Despite the little kindness of the waiter who almost pushed us to the door on the first evening, the day after we wanted to give to the restaurant a second chance by booking online. Due to transport delays, we arrived 30 minutes late from booking. The same waiter with the same bad manners replied that it was no possible to have dinner by citing the excuse that we had to notify by telephone the delay even though on the reservation panel it wasn't specify. Does Pampas Restaurant cook good meat? We didn’t have the opportunity to test it. We only tasted the arrogance and lack of hospitality of the staff. If you plan to dine at Pampas restaurant, I suggest you to book by registered post, show up 30 minutes before booking and provide yourself of a lot of patience for the sprucidity of the staff!

It’s a good job the food made up for the poor service we received.
We turned up without a reservation, and only a handful of tables in the restaurant were occupied when we had turned up. We asked for a table for 2, but straight from the outset the head waiter was huffing and puffing, and being as awkward as possible about us turning up without a reservation.
Bearing in mind the website DOES NOT say reservation only.
We then felt that because of this we was given the cold shoulder a bit through no fault of our own other than just turning up at the restaurant in hope of a good night. Being left 10 mins before a waiter even bothered to come over and hand us our menus.
When the food came, it was exquisite, and absolutely gorgeous. But if it weren’t for the appalling service we had received they wouldn’t be getting the review I am writing now.
The same waiter that greeted us then started huffing and puffing, tutting at us and was just downright rude when we asked if we could part pay cash and card. He ought to be thankful we even paid at all. As a salesperson myself, it’s always drilled in that the customer and their experience is always paramount and comes first. No matter how good the product you sell or provide is.
On this occasion the product provided WAS gorgeous, but the service which was provided wasn’t befitting of what we paid for that product.
Just some advice. Look after your customers in future and don’t make their experience a bad one.

We stopped by without a reservation and were seated promptly, but were told we needed to be finished by 18:45, which was no problem. My husband had a steak, quite large and very good, and I had the salmon with potatoes. We each also had a side salad. We had two beers, one wine, and one sparkling water also. The dinner was great, totaled around 100 euros, and the service charge was on the bill. The restaurant was still quite empty when we left. Would recommend.

In short, if you want an amazing steak - no need to look any further - but booking is necessary!
We went Friday Eve and couldn't get a table, so we booked for the next day.
It has 5 types of meats Hungarian, Argentine Angus, American Prime, Australian Wagyu and japanese Kobe. Since we didn't know much about the Australian Wagyu the waiter did show us the Wagyu and the Kobe cuts. (The staff alone is worth the 5*). We decided on the Australian and so far it was the best tenderloin i ever had. We also had some starters and creme brulee , again the kitchen didn't disappoint. It was delicious and well made. The brulee of course home made with plenty of vanilla seeds

Delicious meal. We wanted the American Ribeye steak which they had unfortunately rumn out of, instead we went for the Australian Wagu Ribeye, 3 times the price, so very expensive, however they were melt in the mouth. Great food and good service, be prepared to pay for this.

Great food, a little on the pricey side for Budapest, but well worth it. Steaks were cooked to perfection, well seasoned and tender. We had a mixture of Argentinian tenderloin and strip on the table and all were amazing. A great selection of wines, especially our favourite Malbec. The icing on the cake was the amazing service from Lilla, she was awesome. Sorry only took pictures of the starters.

Alright service but defo overpriced for what the meal actually was….
The starter was ok. It looked great but didn’t really taste like much unfortunately
As a main we had stake with a mushroom sauce and some potato with cheese. Stake was nice. Mushroom sauce was regular. The potato cheese, was 1 small croquette filled with Philadelphia, not what I expected at all.
Overall I found the plate looked and tasted a bit childish - my partner agreed
We also had a glass of wine and shared some overcooked asparagus and spinach
In total we spent about 94£ - and were still a bit hungry when we left so ended up going for a dessert somewhere else !

The food here is reasonably good. I ordered a medium cooked steak and while it was cooked to my liking it came out cold. No point asking for it to be heated as it would have over cooked. Also I found our waiter to be a little impatient with us when asking about food or ordering drinks.
