HBH has been renovated, the new look is brighter. Food is good, so is service. Reasonable priced, good portions. Our favourite is the okoruszaly soup, it is to die for.

My wife and I had a great meal here at HBH. For a change it tasted like home cooking. I had chunks of savory pork in a gravy with mushroom risotto with a glass of their homemade beer, unfiltered and delicious. My wife had the pork knuckle- hock- with oven roasted potatoes and sauerkraut. All very good. No, the wait... More

Good location on main square with seating out front for people watching and terrace out back. It's more beer house style, but quite good quality, with good service dealing with locals and tourists, broad menu and local wine list. Visited twice early evening late afternoon for roast duck in apple sauce (think mixed with mango) and polenta (see pic), two... More

flies everywhere and greasy food; realy nothing special. If I get a meal in so called "good retaurant" it should be well prepard. Frankly speaking my 16 years old son is a better cook than the chef of this restaurant.

Food and service is ok, although nothing special. The location is very good, just on the corner of the main square. Prices are resonable and portions given are huge.

On Easter days we went to Eger. HBH seemed a cool place from the outside. We were offered a small event room, what was O.K. The staff was paying bigger attention to some football match than us. One of my friend accidentally poured some beer on the table cover. They handled it in a rude mode. We tried to apologise,... More

Good service, Very reasonable prices, good wine selection and good food. Would come here again. Only criticism is that the red wine was served very chilled ( common in Hungary)

Very good food and delicious beer (HBH unfiltered pilsner). The terrace both on the streetfron and in the backyard is a lovely palce to stop by during a hot summer day and refresh ourselves with a good beer. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Located right at the heart of the historic city centre with a nice view... More
