Definitely recommended, we had "dödölle" which is a traditional hungarian dish, similar to gnocchi but better. It is served with lamb stew and prepared perfectly here. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Prices are reasonable. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I wanted to have a good meal in Nagykanizsa.

Basically the profile of the restaurant seems creating an absolute authentic local atmosphere with the choice on the menu, where the tastes from Zala state are greatly summarized inside Hungary. Based on that for example you can eat 'Dödölle' only in this region (as base simple food but even a yearly festival is organized in Nagykanizsa for the variations made... More

The Dodolle is one of our favorite places to eat. Dodolle is a local comfort food that most people like. It is made from potatoes with onion and a little flour. The restaurant is small inside for winter, but has an outside seating area on the edge of the street across from the city hall. They have a great wild... More

Simple, laid back place with good athmosphere, friendly staff and prices. Good traditional food with way better quality than the price tag would suggest!

In the middle of downtown Nagykanizsa. Good selection of food, pasta and salat was really nice. Service was a bit slow but finally they managed.

Great traditional Hungarian food. Big portions and low prices (cca. 10 € / person). Central location at the main square. I recommend traditional Hungarian food - gulaž.

We visited this restaurant on our way home from Budapest airport. It is on main square so it was easy to find. The interior is very nice and cozy. I have one objection on food, my steak was little bit tough but overall this is a good restaurant especially because of the affordable prices

Typical hungarian ambient, quiet & relaxing. Very very very very tasty hungarian food. Price .... Very cheap for the offered food quality and quantity (complete lunch and beverage for two adults paid 18 €) Personal is educated and speaking English, Wi-Fi available. Highly recommend.

We stopped there on our route from Poland to Croatia. The food was very good, we had a deer goulash with dödölle (a kind of Hungarian gnocchi) and pork & vegetable stew on a pancake. It seemed to us a typical Hungarian food. The desert was great as well, we took only one portion of Somloi galuska (a kind of... More
