Went there on a busy night, but the staff was very fast and professional, taking time to suggest wines(excellent suggestions by the way) and make sure everything was perfect. And the food... Delicious! Lovely atmosphere and they also have a very nice summer terrace.

They have excellent athmosphere especially in summer time when it's possible to dine outside. The service is above most of the places in Tallinn. And food... it's hard to describe. Their food is a bit diffrent than usual but it's totally worth giving a try. They made everything with Estonian black bread.

Our entire party of four can warmly recommend this restaurant. We were lucky to have sommelier Oskar (?) as our waiter, and the service was SUPERB! Four stars because of some small things in the entres and desserts (the kale in one entre had too much sauce and salt + the sorbet dessert didn't match up with the expectations), but... More

We went there with about 20 people spread over 3 tables and had a pre-booked menu. The restaurant was fully booked to the last chair. Still, the service was very friendly and perfectly timed thruout the evening. The food was above expectations with every dish, simply perfectly prepared. So tasty that nothing needed to be added and beautiful in presentation.... More

This cafe/restaurant we popped in only once one December evening for some fancy tea just to warm up. So I can’t comment on the food. However, what distinguishes this place from other nice spots in Tallin, of which there are many, is that it is situated in a little nook close to medieval city walls off Uus st. From the... More

These people are firing on all cylinders; this is a lovely building, with great staff, and a truly professional and innovative kitchen. We shared three appetizers on a table of 6, which allowed us to explore just how great they were. The beef cheeks were great, and the dried-egg-yolk-topped dessert truly lovely. They have a huge, reasonably priced wine list,... More

The restaurant was full and we were happy to have had reserved a table. Young, friendly waitresses were all around and recommended not only the food but the matching wines on a high standard. Food was great and it seems they really know what they are doing. The wines were a perfect match and espresso and home made "Schnaps" a... More

Every time I am in Tallinn I make sure that I come and dine here. I am never disappointed. When you enter the front entrance you are greeted by a roaring fireplace. The restaurant is done in dark wood with deep purple and grey cushions to add color. The decor acts as a simple backdrop to the food. The ingredients... More

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
