Duck was a delight for my wife. I had the fish of the day and was perfectly cooked. The spinach tasted great and we ordered a rice vegetable dish that was very nicely prepared. I fought about it with my wife. The setting is nice...on the terrace. The music sweet and the wine very well paired with the food. We will come again.More

We have eaten in this restaurant many times over the past years and recommended it to our friends , two of which informed us haven eaten here 3 weeks ago that standards have dropped. I can confirm this when we visited yesterday, our confirmed booking...was not on the list but the waiter did find us a table, the menu is smaller along with the portion size, there is no wine list just the waiter advising what you should drink !! Some choices were not available, I understand that the owner who was always head of house is now in the kitchen leaving to the terrace being covered by staff, with a G&T being 10€ Sadly we will not be rushing back as the choice of eating in Tavira is excellent, such a shame as we have enjoyed so many enjoyable evenings here.More

Service friendly, food was good . Portions not massive but tasty enough. Curry was very good! Fries that came with the steaks not so good. Overall very nice, would return.

My husband and I payed our second visit (this holiday) to this very special restaurant tonight. We have been coming to Brisa for many years and it never disappoints. Tonight we had the best ever Chateaubriand, full of flavour and so tender that it melted...in our mouths. thanks to the amazing culinary skills of Octavio! Well done Octavio and your team! You were all amazing as alway 😘xxMore

We have visited on numerous occasions and a little concerned reading previous reviews. There was no worries however as the food and service were both excellent. The menu has changed but the quality of the food remains high and the staff as attentive as ever....A wonderful experience and the tuna was cooked to perfection-thank you.More

Starting off with the simple goat cheese and honey dish was wonderful. Excellent flavor for something so basic. The rest of our meal would only get better. Sea bass in orange with prawns and duck breast were our choice of mains. I've had the sea...bass many times in Portugal and this is likely my favorite preparation and flavor. It was just so good. the duck breast as well was prepared perfectly and paired with great seasoning and sauce. The one disappointment from the night was that our preferred dessert was sold out for the night so we had to go with another option that was of course wonderful as well. The service was very friendly and the price was excellent for the amount of food and drink that we ordered. We only wish we would have come here sooner and had more time to come back.More

A group of us 16 that come to Tavira every year booked this restaurant is the Vila Gale hotel. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they had double booked for other group of 16 however we got there first do we...could stay. The restaurant manager attitude started being very aggressive due questions asked why there was no wine list or even enough stock of any type for us, thff de menu was also very limited on choices because it was a Sunday. The manager said several times that if you’re not happy leave! Luckily there was a nice waiter working in there parti-me and swooped with the other person. After that everything went quite smoothly and we all had a nice evening. For me being a local was very upsetting and I definitely don’t recommend that place again or going back.More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and we loved it so much we returned all 3 nights of our stay in Tavira. It’s hidden on a side street a few metres behind the riverside area, in the historic centre of the town. The interior...is simple and unpretentious but we had a very warm welcome from the lovely staff and the food was consistently outstanding, the best steak I’ve eaten anywhere. Fish is also excellent and very fresh (Tavira is known for its seafood). There’s a good choice of wine by the glass. The restaurant has a spacious inside dining area and also a roof terrace which will be nice in the summer months (too cold in April). Be aware that they are reluctant to accept non-Portuguese credit and debit cards, they did it once for us (very kindly) as we had no cash on our first visit, but we paid cash thereafter. Prices were good value and seemed comparable to other local places from what we saw, and much cheaper than our hotel. Highly recommended.More
