Walked past several restaurants heading to the beach, this looked the cleanest (apart from the junk to the rear) service and food good, like all restaurants in Portugal the prices are pretty high (even before exchange rate) this is due to heavy taxes, can't see how fish is 14 Euro per kg when little or no transport is involved.

This restaurant was right at the end of the row of restaurants heading into the beach. We ordered the chicken and grilled cod fish. Food took awhile to come even thought it isn't a busy day. We took it as a good sign that the chef is doing justice to the food preparation. We were not disappointed when the food... More

Lunched yesterday at the beach, Sal had a good selection of fish, our fish was €14 per kg, and came in at €52, bottle of white wine €19, all up it was €80, no desserts just a ice cream on the beach. Staff friendly and helpful, toilet was clean but my Wife didn't like it as it didn't have a... More

When you arrive on the island and walk from the ferry/taxi drop off you go past a number of restaurants as you walk to the beach and this restaurant is the last one you go past, and we chose this due to the good reviews of TA. The restaurant is very busy and there is a great atmosphere and it... More

Visited Tavira for a week, discovered Sal on the second day and went back for lunch 3 more times. This is much, much more than a beach restaurant. The food is to die for - try the prawn skewers or the flambé end prawns- and the portions are enormous. The staff are friendly , attentive but not intrusive. You really... More

We were very impressed with the service here before we even got to the food. No-one pressured us into going in and all staff were very helpful when we decided the fish looked freshest here. The food was NOT a disappointment! The shellfish Cataplaner was stunning with lobster, prawns, clams & more. The skewers were also cooked to perfection and... More

Visited here while on Tavira Island on a Sunday. Sat down at 12.30 for lunch. I ordered a Monk fish skewer and my partner ordered chicken with a sweet chili sauce. At 13.00 the food had still not arrived, the place was not overly busy so loads of orders in the kitchen could not have been the problem. Indeed while... More
