A great place to start or end your hike. A friendly staff that even provided some hiking suggestions. The food and the view are terrific.

A very nice chalet with great customer service. A particular mention for Marianna at the reception, she is very kind and helpful and for Andres, waiter. He is very friendly and social person. a pleasure to talk with him during dishes.

The Jungfrau Region is truly beautiful but all of the major locations are just so busy with tourists - Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg, Grindelwald, Pfingstegg etc. Do yourself a favour and escape to Isenfluh and this wonderful restaurant - experience a lovely lunch, outside on their terrace in the serene, peaceful and picturesque hamlet high above Lauterbrunnen with direct views across... After a long day of hiking with the family, we ended at the Waldrand (08AUG14) for a few drinks and maybe icecream. We were completly ignored by the waitress, for no reason. We left after 15 minutes, without having had a drink.

This place is quite out of the way but if you are in the area, try hiking up to Isenfluh for a beer and some rosti. We showed up around 3 and were waited on by the owner/chef. The rosti was the best we had in Switzerland. Note: this place does not take credit cards.
