Food service for a very simple order (fish and chips + a roll) was very slow...... When it finally arrived the fish was overdone and the chips were soggy. The roll was average. Only one staff member could crack a smile. All the others seemed like they were being forced into work. Perhaps the food quality/service and staff morale were... More

We drove 250 Km to view the Bathers Beach Art display in Fremantle and enjoy a waterfront lunch The artworks were awesome....the lunch at Kailis was a real disappointment. We have been dedicated customers for many years and on the day decided to have the "special"... Red Emperor ,salad and chips $33.00 was a waste of money, Chips soggy, salad... More

My wife and I ate in Kailis today on a visit to Fremantle. We had a dozen oysters and a load of tiger prawns. Both were perfectly served by the fishmongers and were fresh and brilliant tasting. With the addition of a couple of pale ales from the adjacent Little Creatures brewery made an exceptional lunch.

The Kailis cafe is situated on the boardwalk surrounding the fishing harbour which was restored and enlarged during the preparation for the 1987 America's Cup held in Gage Roads off Fremantle. The same formula has been served out over the years and continues to make the grade and satisfy the public for more than tree decades. There's lots on offer,... More

The restaurant is located opposite the fishing harbour,Wonderful fresh fish served and popular with locals and tourists. My only concern is that if you are eating outside (which I recommend) there is a a lot of noise next door on the building site. Suggest you delay a visit here unless you are eating inside.

I only eat snapper and at the BBQ section to get great quality fresh fish with chips and salad is fantastic, my son enjoyed the chilli mussels and my daughter enjoys the fried fish in the other section. Never disappoints, great service and clean place to enjoy food near the water front.

Sunday lunchtime and 'busy, busy, busy' ! The system they've got to order etc works well and we were eating within a few minutes... Tasty and well cooked albeit the ketchup priced at $2+ was a rip-off and unnecessary ( just add the minimal cost on to the overall charge ). I decided upon a dessert - bad decision !... More

Me and my wife had our anniversary dinner at Kailis. We ordered fish n chips and chilli mussels. Eating by the harbour definitely gives an awesome view. We loved it so much we went again the next day. Although the price may be on the high side, it was well worth it. Definitely recommending it to those who loves fish... More

I took another reviewers recommendation to order the fish chowder and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chowder in a roll per the servers advice because they toast the roll with garlic butter. Great choice! I'm not complaining, but this could have served 3 people! There were huge chunks of white fish in it and it had a great slightly... More
