The Brasserie sits a bit further from the dock than some of the other establishments, but it's worth the walk. Fish burger, chicken liver pate and hot chips were all excellent. Drinks were lovely, too. Service was good. The real treat, though, is relaxing in...More

A lovely setting in a very old house. They are not always open in the evenings and they have bar-b-que evenings. We had a really good breakfast outside in the garden.

We stopped to smell the roses, and ended up having lunch. It was just a ham and cheese croissant but they were delicious with the pastry melt in your mouth flaky. We also had yummy flat whites. We returned later to buy muffins for breakfast...More

We had a very nice breakfast here. The service was friendly and the food was good. I had the big vege breakfast - excellent mushrooms and the spinach was fresh.

When we went, it was fairly quiet, however if your going in the summer months then I would say to make a reservation.

"The Brasserie is Akaroa's newest restaurant. Your hosts, Carlos and Saowani invite you to step into their beautiful garden and escape the hustle and bustle outside. We have all day menu with electic and French European influence as well as Asian inspired menu. We have a wide range of boutique wines and Craft beers and All Press coffee available to compliment our Menu. The focus is on local, seasonal ingredients and there is an abundance of fresh vegetables as well as Asian and European herbs from our garden. There is also a BBQ menu to enjoy. Indoor and outdoor seating. We are open 8am till late 7 days a week, so come and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with us or just soak up the atmosphere with a drink. We also have a range of pastries and muffins to accompany our great Allpress coffee."
