We had 3 courses entree, main and desserts and every single one was fabulous. Cooked to perfection, amazing flavour combinations, presentation was a work of art, we expected great and surpassed our expectations. Thank you for a very memorable meal.

Menu was so tempting hard to choose. Warm welcome and perfect table with a harbour view. The birthday girl was given a complimentary glass of champagne. Nice touch. Table set beautifully. But for such a pricy restaurant the food presentation could have been better. My aged Fillet Steak was huge, yummy and medium rare exactly as I'd ordered. The flavours... More

I had a good meal here on Saturday While the service was good, I can't quite put my finger on what was off, maybe a little to attentive, in a creepy kind of way. The food was good, it's great to see so much local produce being used, but you do pay astronomical prices for a good, not great meal.... More

I was there on the weekend for Saturday lunch with family. The food was fantastic and the portions were "healthy" to say the least! The whitebait omelette was very well done - not over-cooked and had plenty of whitebait in it. The Beef salad was generous, tangy and excellently presented, and the club sandwich was true comfort food. The cocktails... More

A lovely place for a special treat. The chef serves innovative food sourcing local ingredients. Outdoor seating overlooking the water makes this a perfect spot on a good day. Great staff. We had a lovely dining experience.

We were in Akoroa for French Fest and managed to get a late reservation here for dinner. We had to dine early but it was a glorious afternoon in the late afternoon sun. My husband had the lamb and i the market fish. Both meals and trimmings were excellent and tasty. Dessert was Creme Brulee again beautifully presented.

Brilliant food. Outstanding presentation and beautifully fresh. Generous servings and some lovely surprises. The food exceeds expectations but the cafe would benefit from a little revamp. With a step up in presentation I could rate this as a top fine dining restaurant. The staff were delightful and we loved their french accents. However it was a little slow before we... More

Really enjoyed lunch with the family on a relaxing Sunday afternoon under the sun, by the water. Had a Ploughman's board (basically a deconstructed sandwich) which was decent, nothing special. My wife had the pork belly which had an interesting Asian twist to it and they very much liked. It has a nice little outside area that was always full... More

I had prearranged a dinner for 14, as a birthday dinner surprise for my husband. I had organised a set menu, as it was a large group. The staff were extremely attentive. Everyone found the meal absolutely delicious. The restaurant was busy, but our group were situated at one side, and it felt private and special. All in all, the... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts as a nice option for a dinner meal. It was a very good recommendation. The staff was really friendly and attentive (without being overattentive). I had the lamb which was medium rare and nicely cooked with beetroot risotto, Puy lentils (for the french touch) and feta cheese. Everything worked in terms of taste.... More
