Superb food, the best we have eaten in New Zealand! Value for money and excellent service from knowledgeable and professional staff. The memories will live long.

My Partner and I booked here to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. We were met by Tony at the door which at first was a lovely greeting then from there kind of went down hill. At first he didn't sit us at our private booked table after telling him my name over the phone and upon arrival. Luckily I got up... More

The three of us stopped here for a late lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon and were immediately seated by Tony the proprietor who helped with selecting a wine. The innovative cuisine were some of the most artfully presented dishes in recent memory and we get around. The visual beauty of each serving was only surpassed by the wonderful sensation... More

Informal space cafe style, with high end restaurant food. Wine tasting was great, and loved the meal - service was good, the bonus was 2 friendly Burmese cats, one who adopted my lap for quite a while on what was a cool day.

Stunning setting on the side of a steep hill heading toward Okahuiti bay. Over look the steep northwest facing vineyard sipping on a selection of reds.

Te Whau is a bit of a drive but well worth it. The view is outstanding, with Auckland in the distance and sea views. The food was equally special and very much fine dinning. The service was friendly and not pretentious. We were very happy with our choice of venue.

I know this place allegedly has some great reviews (external to trip advisor) but we found the food to be quite ordinary, and subsequently expensive The restaurant was stuffy from the cooking of deep fried food. The service was pleasant The views were good but blocked by concrete balcony when one sits down I would recommend a visit to taste... More

The view back to Auckland from the balcony is amazing. Oh and the food and wine are great too. Claims to have the best restaurant on the island - I'm not going to disagree...great food. Oh and did I mention the wines are great too

Don't be put off by the paper napkins and lack of linen (it's the norm on Waiheke), Te Whau offers a truly first rate experience - the welcome by the owners, the setting, service, food, wine, view. All top notch. I can't rate our experience highly enough. It's for sale so let's hope the new owners can deliver just like... More
