A Perfect location overlooking the bay, the food and wine was superb and the staff very friendly.. I enjoyed my meal however it was great to take the local wines which matched well with my meal.

A wonderful setting with spectacular views. Service was ok but somewhat disinterested. Food was not bad but not good. Price was fair.

We are over here from UK for a family wedding and 9 of us took the ferry over from Half Moon Bay upon recommendation from my brother and sister in law who have lived in New Zealand for last 24 years, Fantastic place with the most beautiful views across the bays, food was amazing and the wine was splendid, great... Te Whau Vineyard has a restaurant with breathtaking water views and a menu that will leave you breathless as well. Admittedly I am a chef's nightmare because of food allergies ranging from wine to shellfish but research pointed us to Te What as the best restaurant on Waiheke and I decided it was worth the risk even if it meant... Stunning waterfront outlook. Located away from the maddening summer crowds. Fresh modern fare. Two of us had local oysters served two ways natural and tempura battered, one had pulled pork croquettes and the other a fresh heirloom tomato caprese salad with mozzarella, all delicious. For mains three opted for fish of the day which was John Dory served on a... More

We had the great pleasure tasting through Te Whau's Bordeaux lineup today. If you are into serious Bordeaux wines, go no where else. Seriously the best we came across in NZ. The views are great and the food looked wonderful. All the wines were stellar and well crafted. This winery is for the serious wine lovers.

We had the fresh oysters and a glass of wine which was perfect for an afternoon spent enjoying the view. You can get a bus about half way to the vineyard, but will need to walk about 25mins up a reasonable hill after that. Alternatively you can catch a cab.

This was a slightly belated birthday celebration lunch for two couples. A more attractive lunchtime dining view would be hard to envisage and we settled in to peruse the Spring menu, much appealed! Being slightly late we were didnt partake of the wine tasting but the wine list by glass or bottle was excellent. Of the entrees the scallops with... More
