We sat downstairs at a busy time of day. It was interesting to watch the food being cooked but the meal itself was only mediocre and we felt that there were better options elsewhere in town.

Amazing restaurant built around a huge Ceiba tree. The setting here is a must see but need reservation. Food is very excellent. Try the lobster!

I'd qualify every review in Cuba with - food is limited partly because of the sanctions imposed on Cuba which has a knock on effect with drinks and the preparation of dishes. Like many restaurants La Ceiba trys its best. The food suffers from a lack of spice and seasoning and very little food is fresh. We have eaten in... More

We visited La Ceiba on our first night in Trinidad. Not only was in the Lonely Planet, we'd also had it recommended to us by my brother-in-law. Disappointingly, it was nothing special. The setting is beautiful, but in the evenings on the terrace it is very dark – to the extent that we couldn't really see what we were eating.... More

Fantastic location , food Ok it was good bur service...we probably had the most bumbling waiter of Cuba.Us and the table near us we laughed several times not to get angry for his little memory and lack of professionalism. At the end of the account was sure to expensive compared to other restaurants we visited in trinidad

We ate as a group here and it was wonderful. Variety of dishes, fresh and served timely - nice staff and spectacular setting under the Sieba tree.

Restaurant featuring a 500 years old Ceiba tree. The Ceiba are is holy to lots of Cubans of African descent. The food is good. Nice ambiance. Attentive staff. Sit upstairs near the Ceiba tree.

Lovely environment. Reasonably priced. Too much food though. Service very good. The food was nice however there was just too much. Our guide took us here and it was our only meal in Trinidad so can't compare it to the others.

Our casa owner recommended this place as one of the few places in town that serves good, fresh food. And it was really good. We sat at a beautiful terrace under a big Ceiba tree (therefore the name) and the view from the restaurant is great.
