What a lovely welcome we had at the door from a great guy called Gio. This restaurant is a tardis, as we were taken through the door to our table the place opens out to a huge Ceiba tree that is more than 500 years old. Our table was right under the tree and how magical this was. It was... More

You would never find this place unless you know about it. It's hidden away in a back street. It has got so much charm . The food is excellent. I had the lobster and it was delicious. i would definitely come back here and recommend other people to visit.

Invited from the street jineteros... we tried...and food and service and ambiance were fine...there are trip-buses sometimes so you may wait longer...but you will be satisfied. Prices are quite high you can eat same for lower price.

Tucked away in a back street, this restaurant has very pleasant secluded outside dining. Service is good and the food is fine - a little variation on the standard you get everywhere in Cuba. Prices are high and you need to make a reservation to guarantee a table. A good experience, but in some ways it is a victim of... More

Delightful lunch in an idyllic back courtyard. My wife's camarones were the largest and most succulent we were served anywhere in Cuba; highly recommended. A highly-skilled classical guitarist, just completing her university music studies, perched nearby for over an hour and provided a pitch-perfect soundtrack for our meal.

Very pretty setting. Food was decent but staff were not particularly attentive and it was overpriced (30CUC for two main dishes and no drinks). It is worth passing this restaurant though just to ask to meet up with a waiter Giovanni who is a very helpful local tour guide who speaks many languages well.

Clearly La Cieba has a good reputation because at three street corners on our way there we had jinteros offering 'reservation restaurant La Cieba'. As well as not needing a 'fren' to guide us there we had already booked. Located a couple of blocks from Plaza Mayor you go through the house to multiple terraces behind which form the restaurant.... Upstairs area was very busy with a large group so we were downstairs where the open kitchen and bar are. Made fr a very entertaining meal as staff seem to have fun together, and was interesting to see what was happening in the kitchen. The chefs seemed to rotate, probably because the barbeque bit was too hot to work at... More

We sat downstairs at a busy time of day. It was interesting to watch the food being cooked but the meal itself was only mediocre and we felt that there were better options elsewhere in town.

Amazing restaurant built around a huge Ceiba tree. The setting here is a must see but need reservation. Food is very excellent. Try the lobster!
