Three of us once again returned to Cedar for our annual DC brunch. Two of us traveled from Kansas and the third from Hawaii. We've been coming here every November for the past three years. We arrived just as they opened on a Sunday morning....More

This is one of my favorite places, but it is easy to miss. I highly recommend coming here for a quiet lunch with colleagues or friends. The pork belly BLT is not to be missed!

This is the second time I've eaten at this restaurant. The food is quite tasty and the setting and service are extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this for any traveler looking for a relaxing, nutritious and straightforward meal.

My wife is celiac and I am lactose intolerant. Makes going out to eat an adventure to say the least. We hadn't been to Cedar in a few years but we'll be back soon! The chef was incredibly accommodating. The server's goest question was about...More

We were out during Happy Hour, and the menu they had posted outside, lured us in. We were a bit surprised when we were brought in and seated at an elegant table and handed a totally different menu -- a dinner menu. It felt like...More

Creative flair inspires this eatery, although we didn't get the decor concept (had to ask our server) of illuminated wall panels depicting trees, but once we connected the dots to the disproportionately high wild game options, got it. Really nice meal...yellowfin tuna starter, excellent, and...More

I'm not sure how this place is still open- there is never a crowd inside! You have to venture to the basement of an office building, but this is a good place to grab a drink with your friends.

First thing I heard while descending the steps to the restaurant was some 50's Miles Davis. I knew I was going to like this place. Sunday brunch....tasty.....had the pork belly BLT and a lager beer. Loaded with flavor -- both of them. During bites of...More

Good soups and veggie dishes. Good service, quiet, a bit dark, no view as it's a basement. Portions are on the small side but prices are reasonable for the area.

In a neighborhood full of expensive, splashy restaurants with crowded, loud bar scenes, this is a basement of calm. Its not cheap (although it isn't the most expensive restaurant in the neighborhood either), but the food is excellent. The elk sausage is very good, and...More

My sister is a vegetarian (not quite vegan) and they accommodated her. So, I believe they would accommodate a vegan, as well. I would call the restaurant to double check that way there are no surprises.
