We are at a big round table. Meals are to be shared with 3-4 family style. Great Italian food. We enjoyed the staff and atmosphere. Great place.

We had dinner at Carmine's in Washington D.C. earlier this week. We notified our waiter that our son has a severe nut allergy and cannot breath if his food even comes into contact with nuts. The waiter brought out cannolis for dessert that he told me were safe for my son to consume. I specifically reiterated how dangerous it was... More

We had a party of four and tried to get in at 5:00 PM. Little did we know this place was already packed. David got us seated in the bar area, but made sure we were good. Then came the dinner, and we were all going WOW! Great food, great service, and the bartender who waited on us was fabulous.... More

Food is family style and delicious! We tried the penne and chicken parmesan with the garlic bread and none of us could get enough. The tartufi is a dessert that must be experienced!

Had dinner here the first night we arrived in Washington DC and OH MY GOD....american portion size. They have a special every day and the day we arrived it was Four Pasta Special. The guy said it would be suitable for 3-4 people. When it arrived we just about fell off our chairs. It could have fed the restaurant. The... More

Large, extremely noisy Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive staff, a good variety of dishes, and fabulous bread. Service is family style and portions are generous. Went with a group, sat at a long table and enjoyed the evening.

The portions were huge and the food delicious. The bread basket had a big assortment of fresh baked breads. Fabulous!

We were greeted promptly. We had a reservation and were seated immediately on a busy night. The waiter did a terrific job (Sean) and the staff team supported him well. Food is always good and plentiful.

I would not recommend this restaurant for 2 people traveling. They serve family style very large portions and expensive for Italian food. The Caesar salad is huge and $24. Our entree had more pasta than anything very little meat. If you cannot take home not a good pick.

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.
