Best burgers and shakes. Great selection. Very reasonable prices. Great location to sit and people watch!

Not that impressive. Excellent shakes but burger was pretty bland, needed more seasoning. The fries were under cooked and limp although skin on fries were a good surprise. A self serve restaurant that is incredibly busy but I don't understand the intrigue.

Super burgers, shakes and onion rings. The line was long but it moved quickly. Good place to people watch. Short walk from Foggy Bottom Metro stop. That being said, we asked for the Tejas burger to have the chili on the side (our hotel was...More

We found this after a long day exploring. We got lucky and found a table right away. The room is small and there is counter seating plus a few tables outside. The "build your own" burger is $6 but you can customize it any way...More

We went to this crowded little joint on the recommendation of the hotel staff. It was only a few blocks away. I never tried a turkey burger and took the chance and baby was I a happy tourist. Kids stuck with burgers and the best...More

A block from Foggy Bottom Metro, and a definitely less "medical" food stop than in the GWU Hospital. I got a simple, cheap [$6] "Six Buck Chuck" plus $1 for mushrooms. Asked for it rare. First, it came rare. Second, the burger was not pre-packaged,...More

Went here on the Fourth of July, so naturally it was busy. There was seating for about 70-80 people, including the bar area. We had to wait a little while for a table. The website seemed to show pictures of a nicer environment, but those...More

This is a order at the counter, go sit at a table and wait on your food place. Very unique burgers and shakes at reasonable prices. Tables available outside are quiet compared to the inside. This is close to the Foggy Bottom metro station. Reasonable...More

I love coming to this place for a casual catch up dinner with friends-- the burgers are all really good, the sweet potato fries are great, the shakes are great, and the draft beer selection is quite on point.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

I believe they are allowed. It's an open patio area with tables and chairs. Sometimes there's a temporary guard rail fence they put up around the area that you could maybe attach a leash to.

Any chance on a soy or almond or hemp milk alternative in those shakes? "Burger and shake," can also sometimes imply that chrome and bright and brilliant pop colors; shades of turquoise or red. Does it have that "throwback/vintage" charm? Thanks.

Not sure about the milk alternatives but it does have a modern feel.
