Expensive, fun. innovative, whacky... this restaurant has it all. We loved it the second time round even more than the first. Can't say enough about the food and service. This is not for the faint of heart or people who want steak and potatoes. Minibar...More

Everything in this restaurant is outstanding: the concept (a group of up to 6 people is eating together, sitting at a bar while the kitchen team is preparing and serving an amazing amount of courses), the service and the ambiance. Although a costly restaurant, the...More

Staff and service are excellent and food is certainly creative. However for $1,300 for two people it was a big let down for us. Starts off in a very nice room with Cava (really?) and you're eventually sat at an extremely upscale Teppanyaki like bar...More

There's almost no way to articulate how fantastic our experience at the Minibar was. Jose Andres has taken "dining" to a whole new level. We are "foodies" and love great food, including great restaurants in every town we visit. This was a very special event....More

My husband and I are foodies and he used my recent birthday as the perfect opportunity to visit one of DC's newly minted Michelin 2-star restaurants - minibar. We'd already enjoyed several other Jose Andres restaurants but minibar is not simply dinner - it's a...More

TripAdvisor keeps prompting me about restaurant reviews "Is this one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant" and it made me realize that I need to go and review the actual #1 best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Minibar is...More

My husband's parents treated us to dinner at Minibar and it was OUTSTANDING. The meal was delicious, the service was impeccable and theatrical, and the eating was adventurous. No wonder they earned 2 stars!

We were swept away by this food experience as we were so lucky to get last-minute seats following a cancellation - all thanks to being on the waiting list! We were delighted by each dish - from a visual and taste perspective. This is a...More

I was here once before, over a year ago, so knew what to expect. It's very eclectic. Definitely a mish-mash of various decors. The drinks are ridiculously expensive (average maybe $16) - and well worth trying. They've certainly put alot of time and thought into...More

I had the same question. So, barmini is more of a casual bar where you can taste some of the food creations and have a drink. Minibar is the restaurant where you can have the full dining experience. They are in the same... More
