This is my second visit to minibar. My first visit was before their renovation. It's a much different experience now. My friend and I had an early reservation. When we came in we were given a glass of sparkling wine. We were eventually taken into...More

TripAdvisor keeps prompting me about restaurant reviews "Is this one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant" and it made me realize that I need to go and review the actual #1 best meal I've ever had in a restaurant. Minibar is...More

My husband's parents treated us to dinner at Minibar and it was OUTSTANDING. The meal was delicious, the service was impeccable and theatrical, and the eating was adventurous. No wonder they earned 2 stars!

We were swept away by this food experience as we were so lucky to get last-minute seats following a cancellation - all thanks to being on the waiting list! We were delighted by each dish - from a visual and taste perspective. This is a...More

I was here once before, over a year ago, so knew what to expect. It's very eclectic. Definitely a mish-mash of various decors. The drinks are ridiculously expensive (average maybe $16) - and well worth trying. They've certainly put alot of time and thought into...More

Reservations are hard to get. You need to call about a month in advance early morning. But the mult-icourse tasting menu (and they are small bites or two per offering) can be extraordinary. This is the brain child of Chef Jose Andres. He has many...More

I have written a review of minibar from a past visit so didn’t focus as much on specific food items. The purpose of this review was to point how flexible they were with someone with food allergies. We went to the minibar to celebrate a...More

The sole reason we went to DC was to eat at MiniBar! Until the restaurant changed their reservation system, we were never able to get in. We endured horrendous traffic on Interstate 64, 295, 95, and 395 to reach our goal. We were totally rewarded...More

There aren't enough stars to describe how awesome this restaurant is. We had 29 courses and it is hard to believe that each course was outstanding. The standouts were the uni on toast, the razor clams, the frozen salad, the cauliflower and caviar, the poulet...More

My husband loves Jose Andres so I booked us a table several months out, and we went to celebrate his birthday. Words are not enough to describe this experience; it was Beyond. Like magic. Best service of our lives. Tastes and visions we could never...More

You should call the restaurant and ask. I suppose it depends on how long you have before the reservation date. You also could try to use eBay.

I had the same question. So, barmini is more of a casual bar where you can taste some of the food creations and have a drink. Minibar is the restaurant where you can have the full dining experience. They are in the same... More
