The main floor was closed for remodeling. They did work us in for a early dinner, thank you. There were 3 graduations in town. The waiter was not very attentive, one colleague's steak was over cooked, they did take it off the bill. Good was average. Would give it another try when back in town.

This was standard see food, there was nothing special about it. The atmosphere was good though noisey. The drinks was served full service and not shorted for more profit to the restaurant.

I love the decor in the restaurant. The food was good but very pricey. This was a family affair with some seniors who could barely see the menu.

Truthfully, I had never heard of this restaurant but it really is a D.C. landmark. You must go. The crab cakes were to die for! Mounds of lump crab meat with an awesome sauce that complimented the cakes. I had never had any that were nearly as good. What was a also remarkable, about a week after we ate there... More

I've been to this restaurant more times than I can count during yearly trips to DC, and they never fail to deliver. If you find yourself there when halibut is in season, make sure to inquire about the halibut t-bone as it is one of my favorite meals anywhere. Make sure to save room for a wedge salad and dessert,... More

Had dinner here with my wife, son, and daughter-in-law and the atmosphere was very nice. The noise level is very good for conversation. We had a very knowledgeable and friendly waiter. The menu is extensive and very good if you love seafood. All of our dishes were very good. The only negative is the expense but for an occasional splurge... More

We dined here with a large group and the table service was exceptional. The bar service however was miserable. The food was good but not outstanding by any means. The crab cakes were a little off that night, several in our group did not eat theirs. Despite the claim of "best in the city" they were not. Clam chowder was... More

We've eaten here several times in the past few years and always enjoyed ourselves. On this trip our waiter and his manager made it a memorable trip with their friendliness and knowledge of both wine and their menu. The scallop entree was superb! I would recommend this place both as a business or personal dinner spot. And, it's just outside... More

Gorgeous decor. Wonderful staff. Excellent food. The most delicious fish dishes. I can not fault this restaurant. It was my first time, but it will not be my last. Our party of 7 was well looked after. It wasn't too noisy, despite being quite busy, so ideal for a business meeting. I can not speak highly enough about the supremely... More

Loved this restaurant! The decor, service, and food were all top notch! We were seated in a lovely booth (ask for a booth, if possible). The fish dishes we both had were super. I had the scottish salmon and my husband had the halibut steak. Both were prepared perfectly and were good size portions. We ordered the creamed corn and... More
