Old Glory has been in Georgetown since forever. A rustic looking dark interior with large bar and high-tables that lend themselves to socializing. They sponsor special events like a bourbon dinner and have a decent menu with a goodly amount of smoked meats.

Don't trust the physical appearance The food is much better than what the place looks like. We had chili and ribs on Sunday morning. Not good for the cholesterol but excellent for the spirit I am still thinking of it!

I ate dinner here with some friends on a Sunday night. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich was smaller than I've normally received at BBQ places. The fries were really good though. I wasn't too impressed with the selection of BBQ sauces that were offered though. Our waitress was great. She was British and in the... More

We came here on a gorgeous spring day. A steady stream of people came in for lunch/brunch. Our server was very attentive during our meal and our food came out in a speedy manner - which we appreciated as we wanted to get outside to enjoy the fabulous weather. We ordered the 'frickles' to start, man you will not be... More

3.5 really overall. Don't dwell too much on their terrible website. Old Glory is a pretty decent meat feast smokehouse barbecue wotsit when any main will share nicely between two and a mix of main plates makes a good meal. The burgers are said to be very good, but it wasn't the right time. I can recommend the wet brisket... More

Had lunch here today and my pulled pork was more than 50% fat! The sauces were still yummy, but that is the only positive. My fries were also dripping in oil! There are so many good restaurants in Georgetown, pick another!

The second time my family and I are here, we were seated next to the kitchen. During our meal, a cockroach climbed up the wall next to us--not an indicator of cleanliness. I won't be eating here again.

I did enter with low expectation for finding decent BBQ in D.C. so I wasn't too disappointed by the poor BBQ but the fact that Old Glory couldn't master dessert sort of took the cake. Maybe going to Commissary ruined my dessert experience for the weekend. This place just didn't do it for me. One of my co-workers was carded... More

Description
Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post.

The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.
