Every single Tapa that I ordered was absolutely delicious! Mushroom risotto is out of this world! Try the family recipe of orange flan - just to die for! If you are in the area -- go for it!

We made 8:30 reservations for dinner and showed up just before. We were seated right away in a trendy little corner of the restaurant the place looked nice on the inside and the menu had a wide selection of tapas to choose from. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to wait about 10 minutes for the wine which... More

After reading several newspaper and food journal reviews of Jaleo, we decided to give it a try. The food did not disappoint. Authentic Spanish style tapas definitely fit for foodies and gastros. The place is bustling with lots of tables, people, noise and activity. The ambiance is clean, trendy modern and swank. I would say this is more for adults... More

Salmon purrusa - nicely cooked salmon, somewhat tasteless sauce. Baby octopus with beans. Very nice. Flank steak with peppers, good but a bit salty. Peppers were overcooked. Tortilla was just so so. Nice salads- arugula, fennel salads were very nice. Accommodated food allergies. Lots of kids here.

One of the first places to serve up Spanish-style small plates in DC, and still one of the best. It can get very busy and very noisy, but still a great dining experience.

Overly salty food, long wait, surly servers. That about says it in a nutshell. With so many good restaurants in the area, I'm kind of amazed they are still in business. The location is stellar, the decor is standard, with the exception of the bathroom, which is kind of unnerving, but the food and service are sub standard and the... More

A very busy restaurant on a Winter Sunday evening. Go early! We were seated quickly, drink order taken, along with a request for a quick appetizer because I was very hungry. The drinks arrived first and it was a bit of a disappointment. Martinis without the requested olives. I think we were too shocked at the sight of our favorite... More

This is a good tapas restaurant with a great location just down the street from the Verizon Center. It can be noisy and the people's faces on the floor of the bathroom can be disconcerting. Look.....i

I know - that seems impossible to believe, but at Jaleo you don't need a translator! We try something new every time we come here and we are never disappointed. I just wish we could go off our lo-carb regime and try some of the potato dishes. They sound superb. As to the complaints about price - this is the... More

Jaleo brings alive the spirit and flavors of Spain with a menu reflecting the rich regional diversity of classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine, under the direction of renowned chef Jose Andres. Jaleo offers an impressive assortment of tapas, the traditional small dishes of Spain, as well as savory paellas, superb sangrias and a fine selection of Spanish wines and Sherries in a festive, casual atmosphere.
