A pretty restaurant but only average food. The Clyde's chain used to be much better. Really nothing special with very average service and generally mediocre food. Much better restaurants in the area.

The service, food, and drinks were excellent and generous. My wife has numerous food allergies and our waitress and the kitchen went above and beyond the call of duty. They modified the ingredients as required and were very attentive. The food was fabulous and less than half the price of the other restaurants we went to (District Chop House and... More
We visited for dinner with a group of 12 people for business. There is no coat check, only hooks near booths. My husband hung his coat on a hook right near our table. 75 minutes later his wool dress coat was gone. The manager was not very nice about the theft and said it was my husband's fault for not... To put this in perspective, I'm a former Capital Hill bartender from way back and normally a 20% or higher tipper. The experience of my party of three Saturday evening left me wondering whether Clyde's bartenders--specifically, those at the upstairs bar--belong in the demanding DC bar environment. We sat down at the bar near the end of the pre-hockey game... More
We love the luxury of parking in the Verizon Center and going to Clyde's for a delicious meal and beautiful atmosphere. I love the oil paintings that depict the events of Washington, DC- the farmers market, the National Harbor, parks We came to see what turned out to be the basketball game of the century between the Cleveland Cavaliers and... How can one get excited about meatloaf? You can here. We try and eat at Clyde's, which is one of our favorite restaurants in DC. Ordered the meatloaf and it was so good you could bathe in it. Great service, also.
We were going to a movie in about 45 mins and wanted to grab something quick to eat first but everyone was on a long wait including Clyde's. Saw a manager real quick and he heard the short timetable and immediately sat us. Our waitress was also super fast. We ordered a few quick apps and we were out in... More
Clyde's is a beautiful restaurant! Situated blocks from the Newseum, we discovered this place on a recommendation from the their staff. We arrived early enough in the day(4:00pm) to take advantage of the lunch menu and still have plenty of food. Our table had the meatloaf, butternut squash ravioli and a cheese burger. All of the menu choices were delicious.... More
We went here because it was close to our hotel. It's a large place with a large menu and children's menu which includes dessert. The food was ok in my opinion nothing that blew me away but was fine for what we needed. Our server was polite and the food came in a very efficient quick manner.
First time at this site...great location only 1 block from Gallery Place metro train station, so even I couldn't get lost. Business brunch event. All you can eat brunch included a fantastic lineup with a spectacular french toast. Food and service rated 5 stars. Our event was held in the Piedmonth room..great setup...lots of other folks came into the restaurant... More
