We arrived at the restaurant received poorly and exited poorly. Three men standing while my wife was waiting for someone taking her coat, all looking and waiting....service people, service! The food was good, but poorly served or at least I do not expect the various sauces to be in a dish served on top of the fries, not in many... More

Went for lunch and cannot wait to go back and try dinner - understand that the mussels are incredible. There are lots of restaurants choices in Washington-don't miss this one on your trip. Entire experience was outstanding, from our greeting at the front, to our waiter and assistants. Started off with a charcuterie type of plate, sampling many of the... More

We've been at Brasserie Beck twice, and both times the bar got our drinks wrong -- and the food was just passable (which considering the prices charged is ridiculous). Also -- personal note -- when we arrived exactly on time for our reservation, we were told to wait 10 minutes, while latecomers were seated first. This despite the fact that... More

Went on a Sunday night, not busy at all but real good food and beers. If you like Mussels this is the place to try with different variations of fresh mussels, delicious. Great danish beer selection. Food is french danish style with nice menu selection. Had a great salmon dish as well but not big serving. Good Place. A person... More

I don't know much about Belgian food, but very similar to French bistro offerings. Of course the large beer selection and mussels offered with 5 choices of preparations might stand out as different. The roasted chicken entree was fantastic as were the mussels(with traditional white wine sauce. Excellent service. Prices quite reasonable for DC.

We were here for a private dinner party. It was fantastic. Service was excellent and food was delicious. everyone at our table loved the shrimp and chorizo salad as well as the steaks. But the crispy pork shank was the best! Dessert yummy too.

Arrived without reservations and was promptly seated. Ambiance was very nice and is appropriate for romantic dinner or for families and friends. The server was very attentive. The bone marrow was very tasty and well presented.

My friend recommended this place - and she is a foodie so I had my hopes up. Sadly - I doubt I will return. The ceviche was shameful. Too much celery and not enough fish. The flavor was essentially non existent. The heirloom tomato salad was the best part. My friend had the mussels - which were actually good. For... More

We spent 4 days in DC and happened to stay across the street at the hostel. We randomly walked into the place. We were delightfully pleased with the indoor/outdoor seating and upscale but laid back decor. The food was excellent we ate here 3 times while in DC. The beer selection is amazing. Apparently Brasserie is the French word for... More

Brasserie Beck has been a consistent favorite for years and truly has never disappointed. I brought work colleagues this time and they were impressed. Excellent beer and wine selection with impeccable service. Outstanding charcuterie had someone who said they don't like Fois Gras eating just that. Duck, scallops and pork all very good this time. Our only complaint tonight was... More
