Checked out this local bar and found it to be average. Food did not appear to be made on premise, thought it to be reheated or frozen then microwaved. Drinks were good, service has slow and uncaring.

My recent discovery for a night out, "The Park," in the little hamlet of Oak Park, just a stone's throw from Westlake Village. The interior is large and has an awesomely designed interior with great lighting. We were there on a Friday night and they...had a live band that was pretty good. It is a bit pricey in general, but the cocktails, food and craft beer are all excellent quality. It seems to have a very loyal following of neighborhood locals, this is the best restaurant in Oak Park (not a big competition), but The Park is worth a drive from wherever you are, it is that good.More
Wanted to really LOVE this place.... Not sure how all the reviews were so off the mark from what we experienced. Made reservations for 6:15 on Saturday. Was surprised when we arrived to see only two other groups were in there...made me a bit nervous....The place LOOKS amazing, seating was comfortable. Wanted to order the "cutting board" was told they only had 1 cheese and 2 meats available. Also they were out of Pretzel buns... How is that even possible? On a Saturday night? So we skipped that and ordered their pretzel (very skimpy serving of dipping sauces that were lukewarm). Drinks were unimpressive and mostly ice. Our group then ordered our entrees: Nashville chicken sandwich was ok, the meathead pizza was ok (sauce was bland) and the fat b*stard burger (all the makings of a delicious burger but came out warmish and could have used some seasoning on the patty) My husband ordered a cup of coffee and the server brought it and said it wasn't very hot (actually was COLD) said he would comp us the coffee and if they made a fresh pot he would bring out another cup. 20 minutes later he did but then explained that he couldn't find the half and half but "he could try searching for it if we really wanted" Music started at 7pm and was LOUD. It essentially prevented any further conversation. When we finally left to find another place to have drinks and or dessert people were coming in but it was not FULL as one would expect on a Saturday night.More
Nine of us ate dinner at a long high-top table just in front of the bar. Listed as a 200+ person capacity the bar is large with high ceilings and the ambient noise level is high, as is the enthusiasm level of the wait staff....Katie was a great server, albeit busy with other tables at some times, and went out of her way to be helpful. Food service from the kitchen is with runners and there was some confusion between the order as placed and the dishes as delivered, although that was quickly and amiably resolved. The selection of liquor is very broad and with selections rarely seen in ones typical beer pub. Although The Park had a wider draft beer selection than seen at many brew pubs, which this is not. The food was well prepared and pretty typical, although the buffalo cauliflower and the Brussels sprouts were both unusual and well prepared and presented. A great place for a fun evening of a group of friends or a family, but not a romantic and quiet evening. Parking is easy in a large lot shared with other tenants of the large strip mall. A disappointment was that the special area of the oyster bar was not operational.More
This place was recommended to us by a friend and it was great. Nice atmosphere with good food. The Philly sandwich was very good.
We enjoyed our happy hour here. well above par happy hour food and a great value too. Miguel took very good care of us at the bar. Even the owner came by to check on us. dont think you can go wrong here. We loved...the huge oak mural ( perfect for the area ) We will be back !!More
A bunch of our friends met up here for my husband's birthday. The restaurant was very accommodating to our large group, including an infant. Some places can be not so welcoming of a newborn, but the staff and owners made such a fuss over her...and were really nice. The food was great - everyone liked their dishes - I shared the oyster po' boy and meat lovers pizza. The sandwich was nicely done and the pizza was delicious - fair warning that there were cloves of garlic on the pizza which isn't a problem for me since I LOVE garlic, but my friend was able to request less garlic no problem. There was a mix up with one friend's order, but our waiter was quick to put it right and even sent out a starter salad while he waited at no charge. The restaurant was also super chill about me bringing in my own dessert for the table - no fee and no hassle, they were great. Overall, had a really wonderful time here and will be back!More
The Happy Hour menu (from 3pm to 6pm) is limited, but quite good and very reasonable. We had a hot German pretzel with three dips, roasted brussels sprouts with figs, pizza, and burgers. They were all delicious and not your usual small Happy Hour sizes....They were large and filling. The Happy Hour drinks were also very good. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood!More
