We took a business group here for dinner. The service was adequate, food was decent, and all seemed appropriate at the price point. I would gladly return, but would try other places in the area before coming back here.

Last night we went to Pier 29 for an early dinner. This restaurant has to have the best bay view in the entire SF area. I mean it is simply the best view I've ever seen. The food was decent but the portions were rather...small. The service was attentive and rather prompt as well. I think I will give it another visit so that I might try something some other items on the menu.More
We went with a large group and the meal was filled with mishaps. First off we were told there was no outside dining, and then watched several parties seated on patio. Then we needed help with separating checks and were met with massive attitude. I...get it during peak hours, but this was at 4:30. As for the food, I had the signature Pier 29 sandwich. Imagine bland baby bay shrimp, and non descript seafood in a grilled cheese sandwich. Would never order it again. And my partner had the salad with “albacore” tuna, added at a substantial price. Right out of a can quality. And as far as drinks, absolutely no draft beers available in an area teeming with wonderful craft beers. Skip this one by, lots of better local options.More
We had an enjoyable lunch with view of the Marina. We ate in the outside dining area. We enjoyed clam chowder and bay shrimp sandwiches. For dessert I had chocolate ice creaam.
3 friends and I went on a Saturday night, and the place was hopping. There was a party of 80 people in one room. We were able to be seated immediately. I ordered the calamari dore which came with a nice cup of clam chowder...(excellent) and I chose a baked potato, also good. And carrots/stringbeans, nicely done. The Calamari was ok although not memorable.More
We had a delightful lunch at Pier 29 Restaurant We very much enjoyed the Shrimp Louie Salad. We added avocado to it for an additional $2. Service was good. We also like the marina views one can see from the tabe.
I have always liked this place, especially the Prime Rib and Lamb Shanks. Sadly I am housebound for a while. Wish they were available through Doordash or Ubereats. Guess I will just have to wait until I can get out and about again
$16 for a $10 sandwich is too much Nice view and friendly waitress. Old building that could use some work
We went during the early bird special and the selection of food was better than most happy hours. It is located at the marina so the setting is beautiful.
I've been eating seafood at some pretty impressive restaurants my whole life. I have never had fresher crab or shrimp anywhere - no matter how fancy or expensive the restaurant. Oh, how I wish I could get this quality of crab and/or shrimp all the...time. For those of you who live anywhere nearby - you are so lucky! This is an older restaurant. But it's still got a lot of charm and the food - all of it, is excellent. I can't say enough about how wonderful it was for my husband and I to enjoy our lunch here. To start off with, we had some really great clam chowder. It was a chilly, rainy day and the chowder was perfect. Then I had the crab and shrimp louie salad and my husband ordered the fish and chips. Besides the crab and shrimp tasting so good, the other ingredients in the salad were so fresh! And my husband's fish and chips (which he kindly let me have some) were also great quality. I need to add that the french fries were amazing - and such a generous portion! Besides the ambiance, the wait staff is very cordial and the service was just fine.More
We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated promptly. That was about the only thing prompt. We waited to order our drinks and appetizers. One of my table mates chased down a server for the menu's and we waited. If you're looking...for a 2-1/2 hour meal, this is the place for you. However, by the time we left, and numerous comments about hitting In-And-Out burgers, we left late in the evening. The only excuse we received about the delay was "the kitchen was backed up!" There was no couteous apology from the server, not was there any management apology. We won' be returning to this restaurant.More
We had breakfast with a group here. The crab benedict had loads of fresh crab in it and eggs were cooked perfectly. I had the fresh fruit with it and the berries and melon were also fresh and really a nice balance to the benedict....I've had lunch there, but this was the first time for breakfast. We were on our way to visit the USS Hornet, so it was a perfect and convenient stop. Service was excellent, as with lunch. The parking lot is big. The dining area overlooks harbor slips, so is a relaxing location with a nice view.More
Been coming here for years. The view of San Francisco across the bay is stunning. Eating on the patio is a joy. Sandwich's are excellent as is the fresh roasted daily turkey.
The food here is very good. I particularly like the fried oysters. It has easy access parking, a bonus in Alameda. It also has a fabulous view of The Bay and The City especially on a sunny day making early dining a nice strategy. Like...Paris a view of the City from the Eiffel Tower, perforce will not include its trademark feature. The Bay viewed from The City doesn’t ever really give you the SkylineMore
Started with the fried zucchini which was delicious. Next had cup of clam chowder which was also very good and creamy. I had the daily special of lobster pasta for dinner which was ok. It had a weird smell that made it difficult to eat...but tasted ok. My husband had the salmon with cream and shrimp sauce which was good. For dessert we had creme brulee which was very good. Overall a good experience and good food. Average pricing about $15-30 per main dish.More
