Great view of the warf from every table. Service was terrific and menu had so many amazing options that we will have to go back and try many other dishes. Fresh fish of the day and veges were outstanding.

first night in town, just needed a straight forward dinner. This was great. This is not a high touch fancy place, but the service is great, the pasta (and the sauces) were first rate. Meal started with very nice bread, oil, cheese setting, followed by...soup/salad that was very good and pastas in cream sauce that both were rated highly by this table. Wine list (by the glass) is a little thin and basic. but the bottle list had some world class options. We are little beyond that stage of our life so we stuck with the top chardonnay option, and were well served.More
We went for lunch on a short visit to Oakland. Beautiful old building on the harbour. Very nice inside with vintage lighting. Tables are spaced apart nicely. Food was excellent. One of the better Italian restaurants we've been to. Service was attentive and professional. Only...small complaint....the women's restroom could use some upgrades. Overall excellent experience.More
We had a good dinner at Pasta Pelican. Service was excellent and the prices are pretty good. Our pasta was fine and there were a number of good choices for our dinner. There is a nice view from the waterfront tables. Over-all, this was a...fine experience.More
Every time I am in Alameda I go to this restaurant. It’s my favorite place for the salmon salad. It’s the only place I will order salmon. Very tasty 😋. I am from out of town and LOVE it. Waiters are nice and respectful. Another...restaurant I highly recommend. Try the salmon salad.More
We went for a familiar kind of dinner. I took my 3.9 and my 0.2 years old kids with me. The welcome from the staff member was the “unappreciated” look when he saw the stroller. They don’t have changing table in the bathroom and no...kid chairs in the restaurant at all. However my kid had a delicious pasta and chicken nuggets meal.More
This restaurant has been at this estuary location for well over 20 years under a couple of names. I believe that originally it was called the Rusty Scupper back in the early 1990’s. The menu is an interesting combination of Italian and American dishes. Please...note that the menu on their website only covers a portion of their extensive menu offerings. I think it might be their take-out menu. How odd not to have the complete menu online. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large; nobody goes home hungry. Our pasta dishes were well prepared and quite tasty. The service was excellent but not intrusive. Since it sits on the Oakland/Alameda estuary, all the tables have a view of the passing boat traffic. Reservations are usually necessary if you want an estuary side window seat. Parking has always been an issue as there is no dedicated parking for the restaurant. You might have to walk a little but it is well worth it.More
Good food Great view high price liquor drinks Food was good Nice service with friendly employees Would go back
Great food with an unbeatable view. The carbonara was delicious. Caesar with anchovies. Good service bread served with oil, balsamic, garlic and Parmesan. Save room for homemade tiramisu and espresso. Worth a repeat.
Wonderful Mediterranean Menu in a charming location across from Jack London Square. Eat downstairs, large full bar upstairs. Entertainment sometimes. Dine around 5 - 7 and see the parade of sailboats coming home from a day of sailing. Sat & Sunday is best to see...the racers returning from the Bay with colorful spinakers up. Next to the Commodore fleet of party boats.More
This restaurant is located on the Alameda side of the Oakland estuary and is directly across from Jack London Square. The view at night or on a sunny day when the sailboats are gliding by is really nice. The food is always good and reasonably...priced. Hadi, the owner, is almost always there making sure you get the attentive service you deserve. Although I enjoy all of their pastas, I often order the veal picatta because it is one of the few places in the Bay Area you can get reasonably priced veal.More
On Sunday I was at a dinner in the private upstairs dining room. The view is one of the very best in Alameda or Oakland because you are on the second floor looking over the water toward the Oakland hills. As the sun begins to...go down you watch the sky change colors on the water and hills and slowly the lights go on across Oakland. The food was delicious, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. It was a buffet and we had Salmon with a creamy sauce, chicken pelicano and a spring penne. The service matched the beautiful venue and food. It was an excellent experience.More
It truly is a beautiful, relaxing setting. It makes dinner feel very special to dine here. The services is superb, such a welcoming place. The food is good and festive. The main drawback is that too salty for me.
Pasta pelican in Alameda is a disgrace Ordered two New York steaks medium rare they came overcooked sent them back and they came back cold and blood rare sinewy tough disgusting .. worst cut of meat I’ve ever had , I could’ve got a better...steak at Denny’s . I should’ve known when there was only four other people in the restaurant at night even though it was a Monday Baked potato old and Cold!!! Veggies good.ordered Creme brûlée for desert, I am a chef it was a joke, literally this is the the truth ,it was vanilla pudding in a ramekin then they sprinkled sugar on top so thin and burnt it ..!! Unbelievable !! Service was good although there were only four other people in the restaurant so how could that go wrong... I would never eat here again going in tomorrow to speak to the manager A absolute disgrace!!!!!’More
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with family and friends on Saturday. It's in a lovely location looking across the water and we could watch the sunset. The food was tasty and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Loved the selection of pasta dishes and the...house pinot noir was very good. I'll go back when I'm in Alameda again.More
