Great place for an aprés ski in Aspen, located in the historic and iconic hotel Jerome! Staff is friendly, good selection of beers and great cocktails. The food is really good, burgers of course but plenty of other choice. Unfortunately you can't book a table: first come first serve. If there is no place, you can also try the Living... More

We haven't stayed at the Jerome but we love coming to the J-bar for a sandwich or bar food and drinks. Good luck getting a seat between 6 and 7 PM. Probably one of the top three or four places to go in Aspen for wine/cocktails. One of our favorites whenever we visit Aspen.

We tryed the famous J-Bar Burguer for dinning. Really delicious! For over 100 year, the J-Bar has been maintained in its original saloon style ... and you should take a look. Awsome!

On 2 different days we stopped for a quick lunch between typical winter activities. J-Bar in the old Jerome Hotel has an old yet updated Victorian ambiance. The also-updated pub food was both delicious and innovative. I recommend for drinks or casual food--and prepare to pay "Aspen" prices.

We all tried specials of the evening and thought they all were stand alone solid. Service was great, we had a large party with round table which was awesome. Solid place to hit in Aspen, lounge is a can't miss experience. Two thumbs up.

A friendly pub, just like everywhere here, but good food and great Blue Moon on tap. We called in here while having a break from skiing. Lots of historical memorabilia ...ask the bar man to show you the drawer with all the signatures from the bar men who have worked there for over a year. Dates from 1900's.

Very good food in an refurbished Old West hotel. Makes you feel like your eating in an original saloon but with really solid food. Really big windows that look out onto the street/ mountain. Very good ambiance and service.

This is a great building, with so much history. Choose from a large variety of food, from wings to lobster. Very popular for lunch, dinner, and after dinner drinks.

We went to J Bar with another couple for dinner. This place gets it. We were offered to grab a drink from the bar and sit in the lobby around the fireplace while we waited for a table. Luckily our table became free nearly immediately. We were seated just next to the bar which was great. Try and get a... More

Great ambience. Beautifully restored hotel. The cocktails were not so nice and very expensive. Service was good. A must visit!

Aspen's iconic J-Bar (short for "Jerome Bar") remains the town's social hot spot, with its lively yet casual dining atmosphere. Ski bums, socialites, cowboys and luminaries - from members of the Tenth Mountain Division to the late Hunter S.Thompson gather at this authentic bar for an hint of the Old West. Sit down, relax, and enjoy a beer, vintage-inspired cocktails and light dining fare for lunch or dinner. And don't pass on Aspen's best burger.
