I want to say that I think both the positive and negative reviews for Fran's were true. The food is very good, and the service does leave a lot to be expected. I've worked in the service industry and I try to approach every interaction through the eyes of an industry worker. That said, after 45 min when I politely... More

Small shack on the main 'strip' - just outside Vista del Mar. Fran will heckle you in and you won't be disappointed. Chicken and prawns are the best we had on the island. For 25belize you get the meal plus unlimited rum punch. This is a good deal when compared to restaurant prices on CC and much more fun -... More

Fran's is a food shack right on the beach, and off of a Front St in the main strip of town. A fun spot, where you sit out on communal picnic tables chatting with new-found friends and enjoying unlimited rum punch until your order arrives (which can take a LONG while). I expected more food for the price point. BZ$25pp... More

Don't just walk by Fran's on your way to the Split. She only has a small wooden building and two picnic tables on the sand. Best cook on Caye Caulker, we visit every year and always stop to have Fran's Jerk Chicken. You will meet interesting people while eating, too. Rib's are great too.

Fran's grill food was delicious, we had 2 free drinks with our meal which was so reasonable. The atmosphere was super friendly, everyone sharing tables. Ideally suited to Caye Caulker.

Great grill food stall. I had the best shrips ever (coconut curry) and my boyfriend some delicious BBQ chicken. Loved the fact that it's one of the few places on the island where you still get a good price/value. And the unlimited pineapple/rum is a really good deal!

Good food in a good location. The rum punch is a good addition. Great mash potato and garlic bread with the dishes. Personally would have preferred rice and beans rather than just rice but that's just me. I know everything has to be imported to the island but I think that the vegetarian plate should be cheaper than all the... More

Incredible food, all they had left when we got there late was the jerk chicken but it was the best we've had on the island! Mash and garlic bread were delicious too! Only problem was service was slightly slow but the chicken was cooked to order and totally worth it! Super friendly staff too so all in all a great... More

Is Frans a restaurant? I am not sure - maybe it is, maybe it is the most fantastic pop up food truck, it certainly feels like it could only exist on Caye Caulker - its basically a shack on the beach, Fran gets frfesh lobster and then grills them on a charcoal bbq right on the beach, serving you them...
