We stopped in here on Thursday and were told by the owner that it was "Trivia night" and there were no tables. It seemed odd to us as most places in the US have trivia nights @ 9 pm, not at 6pm. So we returned the next night and were glad we did. The owner, Eugene stopped by and introduced himself... More

A must-visit kind of place, where the owner greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Fun place to have drinks in Placencia. Don't miss it!

The only challenge with the Pickled Parrot is that the specials are gone much too early! People in the know must show up as soon as possible. Delicious food, nice easy listening live music, Eugene the owner is friendly and welcoming. Strong rum cocktails!

My wife and I are in our 30's. We joined my aunt and uncle one evening at Pickled Parrot for live music and drinks who are both retired. Eugene the owner is a very friendly and welcoming owner who you could tell knew everyone's name and they knew his. Food was fantastic. I ordered the steak wrap and it was... More

Literally, the first place we ever ate at in Placencia, 3 years ago, and I'm happy to see them still going strong. Thursday trivia nights, get there early to get a seat or save it for another day...packed house. Last night, a Monday night it was a packed house with live music playing until late in the evening. The ever... More

This is great bar- a true holiday beach bar. The bartenders are very good. There are alot of ex-pat americans and/or retired people living in Placencia for the winter. They are all happy to share their stories and adapting to new life in Belize. I enjoyed the night when a patron performed his music. If you are a dog person-... More

We stumbled across this funky fun place, drawn in by the great music! Great vibe! The owner is hands on: greeting his guests, ensuring their good time and good service. He's everywhere: working the room and washes dishes behind the bar. And the bartender? Fast, sharp and always smiling. And pours a good drink! We stayed longer and drank more... More

The Drunken Parrot is not only the name of our favorite drink there. If I were on a perch I would have fell off. The owners are very nice people who make you feel welcome however the ambience of the bar does the welcoming itself. Two great dogs named Mia and Ziggy. Ziggy Stardust only has 3 legs but that... The Pickled Parrot is a thatched roof restaurant and bar mere footsteps from the crashing surf of the Carribean. We have delicious blender drinks, rum concoctions and ice cold Belikin Beer. Our food is home cooked style comfort food, made from fresh organic ingredients. We specialize in hand-cut french fries, burgers, chicken cheesesteaks, and Philly cheesesteaks. Our popular everyday option is a fresh large salad topped with shrimp, chicken breast or ribeye steak. Special diets are easily accomadated. Portions are ample and prices are low.
