Nice, casual dining with good variety of tasty offerings served by friendly staff. However, it doesn't have as much of the authentic Amana feel as the Ox Yoke next door, where the family-style meals recall the communal meals once served for the religious followers.

For the past 20 years, whenever we went to the Amana Colonies, I always had the schnitzel. But the last time we went to the Ronneburg my wife said that the fried chicken was incredible, so that's what I ordered this time. She was absolutely right. Crispy, crunchy skin with tender juicy meat, it was some of the best chicken I've ever... More

Although I found Amana Colonies to be quaint and interesting, I thought this restaurant was very plain and lacked any kind of atmosphere. Our server was not personable and bordered on rude. The food was served cold and had to be returned. The owners obviously are operating on a captive tourist clientele who, like us, thought they would be getting... More

Had lunch and was very pleased. The waitress was very good and brought a sample of the sauerbraten to try before we ordered. The sauerbraten was excellent and the sides were delicious. The veal was ordinary. The pie selection is great and very tasty.

Great breakfast menu and very tasty. My husband order the pancake but was large and very thin, not typical pancake size. More like a large crepe but was good. Eggs done just right, potatoes crispy, bacon good. Excellent strawberry rhubarb jam. Loved the round toast!

I like the small portions for lunch option. Had the wiener schnitzel and my wife had the chicken on her salad. Both were great. The person that runs this restaurant does a great job. Note the number of locals that frequent this restaurant. I also recommend the smoked pork chops.

We had lunch which was good. The service was ok, but not overly attentive. The food we ordered was average to another place with the same menu. We did not order the family style specialties, so they may be very good.

Food was good but not special. My husband did like his sauerbraten. Coconut cream pie was not good and tasted store bought. I wish they would have had more traditional German side dishes with their smaller dishes.

My husband and I stopped by for dinner this past Sunday and really enjoyed our meal. The restaurant has not changed much since I was last there...many years ago. It was warm and inviting, yet a little outdated. The service was exceptional and the food was as I remember...very good. We dined family style and were not disappointed; the sides... More

We stopped for a Saturday lunch, and it wasn't too busy, but it took over an hour to get our food. I would hate to try it at a busy time. At least our waitress was very friendly. As for the food, the German potato salad was very good (and I don't usually like potato salad), as was the ham... More
