Pizza was great. Leftovers were great the next day too! Service was friendly and family atmosphere was great!

Had a thin crust sausage and mushroom. It was good, although the mushrooms were scarce. Also had cheese fries, which were very good.

The pizza seems to have an awful lot of cheese on it. It gets where you're eating cheese as opposed to the crust and sauce. I'm not impressed

Went with large family group. Able to get seated quickly at large table. Wide variety of unusual pizzas. Everyone found one they loved. Fair price for quality food and good service.

I've lived all over the state and this is definitely the best pizza I've had in Iowa along with Zipp's in Adair as a close 2nd. The flying tomato is my favorite but their Chicago Style is also very good.

Try the Black Apple , which is Guinness poured over apple cider. Their flying tomato pizza had a yeasty, flavorful crust. Really yummy. Sandwiches are pretty standard. I would like their fish and chips, but their tarter sauce is odd. Friendly staff. We go regularly.

We ordered take-out pizza rather than actually dining at Wig and Pen. We had the Chicago stuffed pizza with sausage. This was the closest I've had to authentic Chicago-style pizza outside of Chicago. We also had their signature flying tomato pizza with pepperoni. Both were delicious, but it was the flying tomato that had me going back for seconds. If... More

Second, we got the cheese fries with the cucumber dipping sauce!! I GOT THE SAUCW TO GO!! BETTER THAN MY GRAMMAS! Soo goood! Then we got a... More

Wig & Pen is a pizza restaurant with an English pub look and feel. It's a confusing concept because it does not look or feel like an English pub or restaurant. The British flag under the logo and the red telephone booth are the only traces of English decor. It is a nice looking place with beige walls, brown tables... More

Flying Tomato taco pizza was the bomb, the crust made it. Same with the Chicago Style Deep Dish - this takes about 40 min, but it's so worth the wait. I've had all the different deep dishes in chicago, and this is right up there with the best, plus it's in Ankeny so even better! Had the spinach and artichoke... More
