With the personal attention of the entire family, this restaurant was a real find. Our guide, a 60-year old gentleman nicknamed "Haj" was popular with everyone on the street, and refuses to work commissions, claiming it's against the Qar'an. He led us to the Dar Hatim for lunch, and we were given the royal treatment, beginning with more salads than... More

The restaurant is very cosy, the owner took us from our riad personally. Or at least he pretended to be the owner. He told us his mother has cooked the dishes, but we hardly fell for that. After ten days in Morocco, I should say the prices were extremely high. The waiter was constantly snivelling over the dishes, not sure... More

Impossible to find, call and they will come to pick you up, it is an included service. Really good typical meal, made by his wife and his mother. You will eat inside their house, which is a nice riad in the low ancient medina. All the family is really kind and professional. You can also taste maroccan wine, a strong... More

Our riad recommended this place and called for someone from the restaurant to escort us. Turned out to be the owner. After a wonderful meal - my wife had chicken, I had a kefta tajine and our son had the veggie couscous - the owner, Foaud, gave us a tour of his home/restaurant and introduced us to his wife, infant... This restaurant in Fes Medina is owned by a charming and cultured young couple. Grandmother helps and the three children (very much in the background and looked after by grandmother) make the atmosphere warm and very friendly. The whole household is given over to welcoming guests and the Moroccan cuisine is exquisite. Local wines accompany dishes of Lahira (spiced, dark... More

Booked this restaurant following positive reviews. Rang to reserve & they sent guy over to collect us -helpful as would have never found it-no signs. Set in nicely restored riad where family live & cook. Choice of about 6 set menus but they are basically the same menu with different main course. Prices range from 150 dirhams to 600 (£12-£50).... My friends and I were seeing the Fes Medina with a guide. He took us to Resturant Dar Hatim for lunch. What a treat! It was not obviously a restaurant - just a wooden door in a wall. It was like going into a private house. We were the only ones there (it was after 2.00pm) and w were very... More

A delightful family run restaurantv -they will meet you at the nearby parking or probably further afield. The old house has been restored very beautifully, and you will be shown round. The menu is not exactly al la carte, but unlike some other places there is a choilce of set menus, ranging in price from 150-400 dirhams. The cooking is... More

Family run restaurant in a beautifully restored Riad, which is also the home of the owner and his family. Owner's mother went out of her way to accomadate our vegan diet. Food was some of the best we had during our entire stay. The owner met as at the gate and brought us to the restaurant, which was nice so... More

We arrive in this restaurant last night of our yourney in Fez and ... we realize why the marocaine cousine is so famous in the world. It is not easy to find it because the restaurant is inside the "Medina" but ... the owner come to meet you at the hotel. The food is genuine and well cooked (and a... More
