We were a bit suspicious about this place, which looked as another tourist trap. We were wrong. The place is lovely, the owner/manager accommodating, and the slow cooked lamb we had was exquisite: tender, richly flavoured and wonderfully served. Chapeau!

This restaurant is very unique. A lovely atmosphere combined with an ever-changing menu and great staff. We ordered drinks and food, but even before the starters arrived, my date started feeling a horrible migraine and we had to leave. I left money with the waiter...More

Delicate and nicely presented dishes in a very enjoyable and tidy setting. It does however cost a bit more than I would expect for the not-so-huge portions (I paid 180 dirham for a soup, a small but nice main dish, a delicious small dessert and...More

Although a bit more expensive, this place is an oasis in the medina's rush. We only had coffee and chocolate, so unsure about food, but we would definitely consider this place for a meal if it was not our last day. There are many signs...More

We ate lunch here twice. It was delicious and beautifully prepared. Delightful service in a lovely courtyard garden setting. Wish we had discovered you earlier. Would recommend very highly.

A very loquacious and generous guy let us in after another chap very brusquely shooed us away. We'd heard about this place from our daughter who usually has her finger on the pulse however I choose it as it offered something different to sweet Moroccan...More

Recommended by our hotel. Inexpensive and fantastic tasty dishes. We had 4 tapas dishes to share with bread and that was enough for a light lunch. They even offered to take us back to our Riad, but we found our own way!

This place has lively shaded gardens and is a nice place to walk around or sit and have a drink, the food is average and overpriced

Description
Set in the ruins of a courtyard house in Old Fez. We serve Tapas at lunch, street foods, also cakes and pastries, fresh juices (eg watermelon or cucumber & mint or date and orange blossom milk) and Modern Moroccan dinners (*7 hour lamb 'Mechwi' or Pigeon B'Stella order in advance*) When it is hot there is shade and sun hats, when cold or wet there is a salon with a log fire. When wet or during high season (Christmas, Easter, May & October) reservations essential. We are situated 5 minutes from Talaa Seghira & the same distance from Batha, there are some painted signs. *No alcohol I am sorry to say* We offer an escort service to & from your accommodation within the medina, call in advance to arrange this (20 dirham)

All tips and gratuities go to the staff. There are cats living in the Medina of Fez, they are stray and are pest control for the city, please do not feed them in the garden. We feed them in the street outside and make sure they have water, as do all Fez residents.
