Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I came here two years ago and again last week when in Marrakesh, the food is tasty and good value we had couscous with chicken, a tagine of meat and egg and a Moroccan salad not to mention the free bread and olives, its a...nice spot to sit and watch the world go by and the food is tasty!More

Reasonably good location. Food is good, though portion could be more. Had mixed grill (nothing special) & sardines. As the restaurant call themselves Snack place, perhaps this is a better way to describe the establishment.

We went here after visiting the Badia Palace (don't miss that!) and were in a big hurry. The waiter didn't share our urgency but the food I ordered - chicken briouat - was quick out of the kitchen and among the best I've ever had...(been going to Morocco for nearly 50 years). My wife's pizza took forever and we finally insisted that they give it to us to go, which they did. Given its location, the restaurant was quite busy, but if you have more time than we did (20 minutes) I'd highly recommend it - good food, very reasonable prices.More

One of the best tajines we had in Marrakech, and only for 3 euros :) You can easily overlook this place as its only plastic tables and chairs with blue table cloths on the square of Ferblantiers. It is in the corner on the right...entering the square from the Jemaa el Fna side. The vegetarian tajine was great, nice spot.More

Limited menu but adequate for lunch. Prices were very reasonable and service was quick and friendly. English and French spoken by most staff.

We were looking for a restaurant with my girlfriend around when a waiter came to us to show us the menu. We wanted to look around more and when we told him that we were not interested he didn't answer properly. We finally decided to...go there when we told it to him everything was perfect (food and service) until the payment time. When we ordered the receipt a waiter did the maths wrong adding some money to the total. We didn't say anything because it was the tip we wanted to leave. We paid and they left us waiting for a long time for the change which was not correct when it arrived. However, when we said it to the waiter they gave us the correct amount with apologies. All in all I don't regret being there because the food was good.More

Good food for a fair price, nothing special. The tagine quite good, but at the time to pay you can't see the bill, so they can make pay you what they want.

We went for an evening meal as it was convenient for our Riad. Basic food such as pizza and sandwiches at an OK price. It was very windy when we were there - sitting outside on pavement so hold on to your hats time

Stopped here after visiting the palaces. Bit pushy trying to grab people walking past, but not too bad. Portions are smaller than some places we've been, but reasonable for the fairly cheap prices.

Our riad was only around the corner from the square so we tried a couple of the street cafes out. This one is recommended by Lonely Planet and rightly so! Lovely chicken brochettes, tagines, salad and mint tea were enjoyed several times. The main guy...running the place was a real sweetheart! My daughter accidentally dropped bit of her chicken from her tagine and ten minutes later the waiter appeared with two chicken brochettes for free to make up for her loss! The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere on the square lovely.More

Given the mostly excellent standard of food that can be found locally, I found this rather bland and a touch expensive for what it offers. Service was ok, if a little pushy and they served items that we specified not to have (then charged us)

Whilst getting lost looking for the Henna Art Cafe. We gave up and thought it would be nice to overlook the square in the nearby cafe. Highly recommend this food stop. Good food and mint tea, at low prices. Great place to relax and people...watch. Not a fancy place but the staff are welcoming and the Tagine's tasted better than every other restaurant we tried in Marrakech.More

We tried lots of mint tea in Marrakech and the best is served here and for only 10dhr a bargain. The chicken skewers are good and the menu is reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. A nice place to sit and watch the world go by...in the square. Much less touristy than the big square. Lots of cats and kittens around, so not good if your don't like themMore

This is obviously a touristy restaurant being in the Place des Ferblantiers (Lantern Square) where you can catch a carriage ride, or quickly get to the the Badi Palace or Bahia Palace (it's in between these two). Despite that, or even because of that, it's...worth a stop for a bite or a beverage. We are American, but talked to people sitting at or near our table from different countries, which always adds a perspective to sightseeing. If you don't feel like talking, it's a great place to sit for a while and people watch. The food is basic, but okay. Service was average, but it was busy. Cats are roaming all around (as everywhere in Marrakech) ready to catch any food dropped or distracted eaters not watching their plates. My husband apparently offended the cat crawling around his chair by not sharing his anchovies, so the cat took a pee on his leg. I had to laugh, but then it wasn't my leg! Glad I ordered chicken. The large group next to us cautioned us before they left to check the bill. They were overcharged. They weren't sure if it was by design or a mistake, but it was rectified. In any case, it's always good to check your bill wherever you go in the world!More

Delicious food cooked in front of you. The prices are amazing. Tagines for 35 dirhams and delicious chicken skewers. The aubergine is incredible. The location is very central and very relaxed atmosphere.
