On our last day of our girls trip to Marrakech, we went to the Amal centre for a Moroccan cooking class. It was an amazing experience and we made delicious food, tea and learned about the incredible empowering work that the Amal organization is doing. We really enjoyed the chicken pastilla and had great fun learning how to make the... More

The place is nice, with tables in the garden and well located. Our dishes were delicious and the best of all is that they are a non profit restaurant that helps women that went through stressful and delicate situations in life to get back to work :-)

To be honest we didn't know the story behind Amal before visiting & so it was a pleasant surprise hearing its story. The staff there are amazing and all wanted to say hello to our daughter. We felt really welcome as a family. Unfortunately the traditional tagine was sold out when we got there but the starter and fish was... More

We had a great time learning how to make tagines with a great group of people from all over the world. I recommend doing this without any hesitation. And the money goes to a great cause.

This place restaurant and training centre run by women a 20 minute walk away from the old city. We turned up here for lunch only to be told they were full. However they seemed genuinely hurt that we had travelled to see them and after a frantic five minutes found us a place to sit. There is no menu (at... More

This was a great spot to go and have lunch. Very inexpensive-- about $10 for 2 entrees and 2 juice drinks. It was very tasty and I love what they are doing for the community. The staff was extremely helpful and polite!

The place of the cooking classes is at Amal Targa, a big house in a beautiful green environment. We were received very friendly. The class was goed prepared, the spices, herbs and vegetables and meat. After a long walk from the Medina we were greeted with a beautiful courtyard restaurant. It's gorgeous. The food is divine and really cheap. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. We visited twice in 3 days. It's a really special place.

You may find Amal tricky to find without a map however it is worth venturing away from the beaten path. While you can taste the traditional Moroccan dishes at low prices however bare in mind Friday is a couscous only day. At times you might find the place busy but it's for a reason - the food is good and... More

Nice atmosphere, had one of the best tangines and a lovely cucumber juice. Service was very good. It's amazing the job they do. Would highly recommend to visit there for lunch.
