Have tried sushi in other places in town, but this has been by far the best so far. The price is also reasonable and restaurant has good ambiance and good service too.

After having been fairly disappointed with sushi at the Cape Town Fish Market and underwhelmed with the industrial setup at Osaka this was a refreshing find. Unpretentious design, coupled with charming service and fantastically fresh sushi, prepared on order by the Japanese chef. Hands down the best sushi I've had in East Africa.

There are lot of places offering sushi around the peninsula - this is the best I have tried so far. Definitely that much more skill and experience compared to other restaurants, and the fish was super fresh and well cut. Only done takeaway so far but the interior is very stylish and looks inviting.

This was my first time to visit Ashibe after moving out. I was expecting to have better meal and service for renewal since the last meal at former Ashibe was gorgeous. I loved donburi. Contrary to my belief, the Sushi was ok, Tempura was ok, I mean everything was just avarage. You may find better of them in another restaurants... More
