Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited here about 9.30 am on a Sunday. Was asked if we had booked, but we hadn't as we didn't know what time we would be finished in the National Park. The waitress said we should be okay as long as we were gone before...the lunchtime rush which was fine as you only really need an hour, on maybe 90 mins here. Had a seat with an excellent backdrop of the bridge and gorge, and you can see all the adrenaline junkies plunging into the gorge on the zip wires, flying fox etc. We ate from the brunchtime menu. I had salmon eggs benedict with spinach and the eggs pouched medium (you have 3 options soft, medium and hard so I thought medium to be a safe bet) for $12 which included a choice of tea or coffee. I needed a coffee fix so that was my choice. Food was very tasty and a fair size portion. My travel companion had the morning breakfast burger which was accompanied with fries which I am told was delicious too and was a huge portion. This was $10 and included a tea or coffee, but a tea was chosen and there atleast 2.5 cups worth in the little tea pot, whereas the coffee is just the 1 cup. Staff were really friendly and views were amazing. There were many tables that didn't have the views that we had and were seated further back (still good though) so I would strongly advice if you want the seats with the best views then go for breakfast rather than the busy lunchtime rush. We will likely visit again before we leave for our next destination. One small note, we walked across the road from the National Park and around the market to avoid many many people asking for us to purchase things that we didnt want. We then found ourselves with even more vendors and couldn't locate any Lookout Cafe signs at this point but if you carried walking over the disused railway and past a few more sales stalls, then 5 mins later you will see the cafe. If your coming from the National Park you may as well dash through the market aiming for the gate in the far left corner and it's cuts out a good bit of confusion.More

The views of the gorge are wonderful, especially if you sit at the tables on the balcony. I tried crocodile, very nice experience with a local food. The service is kind, but a bit slow. Food is tasty and well served. Remember your credit card...for the bill. In Zimbabwe they used USD, but they don't have small notes for the change.More

We had lunch at this restaurant overlooking the gorge today. We were looking for a fairly casual restaurant with excellent food and believe we found it. Reservations are important. We didn’t make them. As such, we receded somewhat outside the dining room, but still with...the view. it was fine. I had the cheeseburger and my wife had a ham and cheese toastie. Both were fine and pictures are attached. Service started slow but ended with an excellent waiter who took good care of us. Thank you Pholiso for doing an excellent job. I would recommend this restaurant.More

The view is amazing but the customer service is terrible. The food is not up to the standard one expects of the place. The views are the only thing I would go back for.

Excellent cafe/restaurant overlooking the mighty Zambezi gorge and the bridge between Zim and Zam. Good food, we had for instance crocodile kebab and peri-peri chicken, very tasty. An added value is that you can watch and hear daredevils flinging themselves down the gorge on a...zip-line or a swing. Looking is enough….More

The Lookout Cafe is perched on the edge of the gorge of Zambezi River. we loved it so much that we were here both the days of our stay for our lunch and beer. It's a great hang out place after you have done with...your Vic. Falls sightseeing. The look out cafe is also a starting point for some of the adrenaline, heart pumping activities such as Gorge Zipline, Gorge Swing, Canopy ride and many more. The Food is wholesome and sumptuous, the restaurant ambience is superb. the staff of Wild Horizons both at Restaurant and Activities are amazing and friendly. Please ensure you have your table booked before your visit to Lookout Cafe. it's always full during lunch time.More

Amazing breakfast and lunch experiences at the Lookout Cafe. Not only is there an incredible view of Victoria falls, but the food is excellent and the team members that work there are super nice, and the food is really good. I had the avocado toast...for breakfast, which was out of this world. I watched the bungee jumpers and the zip line hours as I ate. My cell phone was dead so the manager his name was Mike offered to charge my phone. Because of him I didn’t miss any memories that day. I went back for lunch and shared the teriyaki chicken rice wrap and a cheeseburger with a fried egg on top with my husband. Absolutely delicious. Noma and Freelance where are waitresses and they were incredibly friendly and fun. Mike does an amazing job is the supervisor. I can’t say enough about this place. Thank you.More

The views from the gorge of the Zimbabwe and Zambia bridge are breathtaking. While eating, you can see bungee jumpers from the bridge as well as the zipline enthusiasts. The food was unique. I tried the gator entree. It's different but tasty. It did not...taste like "chicken." This restaurant offers nice size servings. The hamburgers are huge and very tasty with fresh cut potato fries. The large artwork on the walls of the restaurant are large, beautiful pictures of native Africans. You can purchase them at the gift shop located at the front entrance of the restaurant. Beautiful views, artwork, and great food! It was the perfect place to visit after touring Victoria Falls. Highly recommendedMore
