Since 2012, I've been there many times. Food is always good, healthy and looks fresh. Their dim sum dishes were one of the best I had on the island. Unfortunately, the chefs aren't in Mauritius anymore. I've tasted almost whatever is on their menu card and I recommend everyone to taste their food if you're really into Chinese cuisine. I've... We went to China part of Port Louis to have some duck but every small restaurant which we saw had different meat. Stuff at different restaurant recommend us Grand Canton. Interior was more fancyier than we expected, food was good, almost impossible to eat everything. Portions of food were soo big, so watch out if you want main meal with... More

If you want to have a real chinese experience in Mauritus and to taste nice things without selling a member of your family to pay the bill, you should go there.

We went to Grand Canton at Port Louis for lunch as it came highly recommended. The restaurant is nice, though the food is only average. We ordered Char Siew, Tofu and a vegetable dish. The dishes were OK, but not great. The service was really great though because the waitress was very attentive and helpful.

We went for the third time, but the Dim Sum chef has left the country for a few month .. We appreciate the honest answer and prefered not having Dim sum instead of "replacement" of some kind. We did complain first seing the half duck (we're used of the half bird) because it was already cut and looked small, but... More
