I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel and were charmed by the decor and the location of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and put us at a table overlooking the ocean and a small private beach (very very clean !!). The food, fresh seafood tagliatelle for me and the grilled steak for my husband, was delicious. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, food and ambiance,that we decided to return the next night for dinner. This was even better if possible. Ocean view, moonlight and waves crashing on the beach, with a wonderful "chicken Yasa" and grilled fish was more than we could have asked for. Then it got better as the manager "Alpha" suggested we have our final drinks on the beach. No better way to end our vacation than sitting on a moonlit beach sipping drinks. When we return to Dakar the restaurant Ngor will definitely be a stop and we would recommend to anyone who likes great food and ambiance !!! Bon Voyage

Hello, I’ve been around(Dakar)many times and got here while being suggested by the hotel owners at “L’adresse” in Almadies that this place would be the right fit for me and my crew. Walked 10m, safely, splendid welcome, great seating area, menu is balanced, food is tasty and came quite fast to our table taking for consideration the amount of customers in the place at 2000. I had 2 Flag beers, coconut smoked Capitaine(fish) carpaccio 🤤 for starter and headed for grilled squid 🦑 for main. No dessert because I was full. Music and mood were perfect just as the service and servers. See ya soon big baboon.

We stopped here for an early dinner and hands down this restaurant has the coolest oceanfront ambiance. I love how seashells were incorporated into the decor. It wasn’t the best meal food wise while staying in Dakar but the price was reasonable and the waitstaff were great. I had the langoustine which are like the local crayfish. You don’t get that much and if I were to go again I would probably choose something else. The chocolate fondant cake was ok, nothing amazing. The whole experience though was worthy of 5 stars and definitely recommend a relaxing meal here while watching the ocean and sunset!

As others have noted, the location is spectacular and the menu is excellent. As a vegetarian I appreciated the options available. We arrived late on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday and we were the only table, The waiter seemed upset and all of the staff seemed untrained. The food was tasty and the cocktails well made. I would definitely go back and see if we might have better luck with a server who had better training.

I have enjoyed going here for over 4 years when in Dakar. Great location, etc. It truly is a favorite. But I have to say, this time around (March '24), the lunch was far less than satisfactory. I ordered their blue cheese burger with fries. The fries were fine, but that's where it ended. The meat was rock hard, the buns were way too thick and stale, virtually no to zero blue cheese on anything - in short, a less than stellar experience. It's a shame - I really like this place, but now I'm going to look at it with hesitancy for the next time. One plus - they actually had hand soap and running water at the handwashing sinks around the toilets, for the FIRST time.

The food was amazing . I am a seafood lover but the place is gorgeous I loved the view and the sound of the waves crashing . It was amazing . It was like a fairy tale . I arrived just as the sun was setting I wish I discovered this place sooner.

Beautiful location with multiple levels so everyone gets a sea view table. Food is of excellent quality, but not cheap (still absolutely worth it). Special kids’ menu at a reasonable price. Service also very quick.
Altogether I highly recommend this place!

The food and the location are nice.
But the food portions are a bit small.
The restaurant staff is polite but not really guest focus. Service could be better.

This little gem is tucked away near the US embassy and you really need to know it is there to find it, but it is well worth the effort as the food is very good, especially the sea food as you would expect. Worth making the effort to find for both the views and the food.

The yassa pouline was good. Not traditional in preparation but overall the food was good. As with most restaurants celiacs will find a challenge.

The service was efficient and friendly, the food was good and the setting is stunning - right on the edge of the water. The menu is limited, but everything we had was well prepared and well flavored. I definitely recommend Le Ngor.

Loved the experience here. Dining by the sea, service is good. Sea food was fresh and very tasty. We tried the white and red wine, the white was crispy and dry perfect with sea food. They also serve sheesha or shisha, but being 10,000 local money it is a bit pricy.

Right on the Atlantic Ocean, the prices are very reasonable and the seafood is fresh. Open air seating with multiple patios!

Restaurant situated close to American Embassy - useful reference as taxi drivers don’t know restaurant. Really great ambience with good choice of food. We had the tapas menu. Main attraction is location - right on sea’s edge

This is a beautiful oceanfront restaurant in Dakar, near the US Embassy and King Fahd hotel. It’s a large place so it can handle large groups. We had 9 and it was no problems. It’s open to the ocean so the sounds is amazing. The food is somewhat hit or miss. I really enjoyed the special which was stewed shrimp and fish with plantains. But others did not enjoy their fish.
