A fusion of Ugandan and French food, that works! The chef knows what he is doing. The owner and the staff are delightful and attentive. Highly recommended. The food will knock your socks off! The tilapia with almonds will change your life!

We went as a bigger group and had a splendid night. We had cheese and beef fondue. Not found in any other place in KAMPALA - as far as I know.
Went here at the suggestion of a local friend and it was so good we came back again. There is a nice variety of food and it is well prepared and safe for Mzungu stomachs. Though not a meat eater myself, the steaks looked good...and my friend said it was the best steakhouse in town. The service was friendly and attentive.More
Being a Belgian myself, I like Le Chateau en Le Petit Bistro, but for an upscale restaurant like these, I expect spotless clean dishes (they werent and I told the waitress), and a fresh french bread for my sandwich, not some old chewy thing. But...still, great place, would recommend it. Absolutely LOVED the mushroom sauce that came with my boyfriends chicken fingers.More
Good food, interesting served with banana leaves on the plate. I think it was for flavour. They did not have everything on the menu, so ask before you decide.
Got taken here by friends who have lived in Kampala for many years, it doesn't look like much but it doesn't fail to impress! Excellent steaks big, lean and well cooked, and crepes are excellent! Wine was ok and very cheap. 3 steaks, drinks wine...and a shared desert only came to 100,000 shillings. Don't drive past this place!More
We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dinner here. The salad is delicious with an amazing dressing, that is apparently a family secret recipe. I had a fantastic steak. The ambience and service were on point. It's the perfect place for sharing an excellent meal with family...or friends. Looking forward to my return visit.More
-Wonderful place , particularly loved the steak and mushroom soup- although the proximity to the road is quite an issue.
Know the place some 10 years now. Its always good for some real good french food! The place is simple but good.
This is a great place to dine with friends or family. The food is great and service very good. It is a good place to stay, the atmosphere is romantic with great gardens and a small swimming pool if you love swimming. Very close to...town.More
Great food as usual but the espresso was disappointing. Great steaks (3 out of the 4 diners) but the fish was a little cold. Smoked fish starter is great.
Have always received great food from here. It was great to be back for a visit. Just a pity about all the constant traffic going by on the busy road. Some more inside seating would be a superb idea!!
Good quality food, a lot of choices, Belgium owner, some typical Belgium items, good service, high price rate.
Great restaurant - wonderful food - fantastic staff. The prices are what you expect to pay for good food
Anyone who has used The Petit Bistro knows its limitations and accepts them. The service is relaxed and friendly. It usually takes some time for the food to come, which for me says that it is prepared when you order. I'm always suspicious of those...places where the menu is extensive as I'm sure it must be microwaved out of the freezer. The Petit Bistro is not one of those places! Order your food when you order your first drink and plan to have a second one before the food arrives. Steaks are always good. The smoked fish makes an excellent starter. The place has atmosphere. One reviewer suggested that it was dirty and unhealthy and I would disagree. Been there loads and never a hint of bad food!More
