This is a wonderful little gem that serves the best food for reasonable prices. Try their specialty of Steak Strips or a Big E, Its the owners ' secret recipe! Available no where else in the world!! The staff is very attentive and inviting. They have a back room that is perfect for large groups or a party. Can't say... More

Our family visited while traveling through Abilene. This restaurant is located close to Abilene and it is worth the short drive. My daughter had macaroni and cheese that was home made and was good. My wife enjoyed her hamburger and French fries. I opted for the linguini Alfredo with sausage. The only glitch in the meal was that the waitress... More

Thanks so much for your positive review. Glad you were happy. Our salad always comes with the Farmhouse signature italian dressing unless you specify otherwise. We also sell it in local grocery stores. Sorry for any misunderstanding. MR K More

Stopped for lunch after visiting the Eisenhower Museum complex. Nice ride through town to the farm restaurant. I enjoyed driving past the beautiful older homes. The food was good home cooking. Skip the chain restaurants and go here instead. Lunch specials are reasonably priced and good sized portions. Also, don't forget to have some delicious pie. The Eisenhower Room has... More

I had read about Mr. K's Farmhouse restaurant's history weeks passing through Abilene.. The history of this restaurant when it was Lena's is interesting. With the name of the restaurant being Mr, K's Farmhouse, I was expecting the menu items to be freshly made. I discovered after speaking with staff that most of the menu items, at least for the... very sorry you recieved bad information from our front of the house staff. Maybe what they thought you were asking was if we grow everything for the restaurant here on site since we are surrounded by farm fields. That would have been the correct information. We do order in our veggies and meats. But I assure you we cook fresh... More

My parents and I were visiting from out of town and came in for some good food, which we got. I ordered the Italian salad. It was good, but I wish there had been more tortellini in it and fewer olives/tomatoes/onions/mushrooms (none of these things are listed on the menu). My parents got the petit filet with baked potato and... More

The restaurant is out away from the main town so don't think you're lost. We had chicken fried steak which was ok--not outstanding. The server didn't know what soup she brought us. She had to go back and ask. The salad was fresh and large.

The food was honestly nothing special, unfortunately. I had the pork chops and they were a bit dry and tasteless, but the mashed potatoes were good. The service was great, though, with a very friendly college student. The ambiance is nice, too, because it feels like a down-home cooking kind of place. Maybe the cook was just having a bad... More

Stopped by on a Sunday at 12 noon. Parking lot was packed but they quickly seated us. Limited menu of classic country meals such as roast beef, pork tenderloin, fried chicken, chicken fried steak and chicken. Meal came with salad, potatoes and vegetable, rolls, and dessert. Beautiful looking pies but cost extra. Friendly wait staff. Great choice for travelers tired... More

A nice looking restaurant. I had a Taco Salad which was good. My husband's dinner of pork chops presentation looked terrible. He said the meal was okay.
