Seriously? No menu? How can that be? It's like Sunday dinner after church at mom's house. Beautifully generous staff who don't make you clean your plate before dessert is served. A perfect pause along I 70 from The Colorado mountains back to Good ole KC.

The food was excellent and the portions very generous. It is a bit pricey, but on par with other family style restaurants that serve real food. I wish we were not so tired when we arrived, as the children were a bit cranky. The service was a bit less than stellar, as we waited for refills on our tea more... More

It is refreshing to eat at an old fashioned "pass me the potatoes" style restaurant. Great classic food, full meal, no menu necessary. Definitely worth a stop. It is a nice, well kept property with friendly employees.

No decisions to make when eating here. The menu is set. Walk in, sit down and feast on a chicken dinner that will knock your socks off. They've been doing it this way for years. Who am I to argue.

Lovely place; Single, $16 menu, with fried chicken at its core; brings back to 19th century which is more or less what happens with Abilene more generally

What an experience on the plains of Kansas! This place is a really good place to eat, and the service is exceptional. Wait staff all dressed up like 1900. White table cloth. No menu, they only serve one thing! Just really good fried chicken and all the trimmings, including dessert. They only serve dinner and reservations are suggested. It is... More

The first time I ate at the Brookville Hotel was in 1975 in Brookville, Ks. Recently ate there again and was not disappointed. The food is very good. It is nice that the only choice I had to make was what to drink. Definitely not a place to miss in Abilene KS

Family style dinning of fried chicken and all of the fixings! Creamed corn, mashed potatoes and gravy. Ice cream for dessert!

Okay, so the place has been around forever and gets awesome reviews. But for $16 a person, I was expecting real mashed potatoes. Also when the waitress tells you the drink options, she doesn't mention they are on top of the $16. $2 for every coffee, lemonade, etc . Everything else tasted very good.

I was in Abilene for a conference. I had family members who had been there so was excited to try it. We were not disappointed. We made a early early evening reservation. We were seated immediately. Our waitress introduced herself, explained the FAMILY STYLE servings and brought us out drinks followed by relishes ie. cottage cheese, coleslaw, bread n butter... More
