I don't usually order coffee out because it's so hit or miss.... But this place was near my guesthouse and I was feeling like a coffee after about 3 weeks without the stuff. Oh my goodness, good coffee! The staff is also very kind and attentive and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Ricky's..... Get some!

I only ate here once, but the food was great, service is good, and it became my haunt for my afternoon cup of tea. I cannot say much more because I mainly drank tea, but whilst sitting here I witness a lot of other people enjoying the food that had been prepared for them. I cannot even remember what I... More

We were looking for a taste of home after a hot and spicy day and found it at Ricky's. I know--grilled cheese in Thailand, but it tasted so good. There is an extensive menu with both Thai and Western food, as well as quite a few vegetarian options, and a bar. The nights we were there the restaurant wasn't crowded... More

I absolutely love Ricky's Coffee Shop & eat there (usually more than once) every time that I visit Bangkok. The food there is great & their breakfast options are incredible (I love their hashbrowns in the morning.) The only downside to this small cafe is the speed of service. Even if you are traveling solo it can take some time... More

We came here because we wanted a break from Thai and saw that they had Tex-Mex. It was really good! We came back for breakfast because we'd seen bagels on the menu and they were excellent. Lots of cheeses available here as well.

My friends and I were after some espresso style coffe after our time in a rural village in Isan, found this place and it was great. At 60 baht for a latte we initially thought it was a bit expensive, but the size of the coffee is large. Was great to sit there, have a rest and enjoy a good... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
