The food was ok, but not great. My girl didn't like her order (grilled Italian sausage), my order was ok (Grille Seabass). The Caesar salad wasn't great either - too much sauce. Spinach soup was fine, nothing special. The setting is real nice, and the atmosphere is good, the place it was quite full on a Saturday night. Our waiter... More

We went for dinner around nine pm. The restaurant looks like an authentic pizzeria place with a big oven. We ordered shrimp salad with avocado (400 baht tax included). When it arrived we were shock as the salad plate was simply half tomato, half avocado, over cooked shrimps with cheap salad dressing on top not to mention the horrible plate... More

if you're looking for an expensive place with very average food with a very poor service level, don't look further.

I tried to eat Italian food i Basilico, Soi 33. It was my first and my last visit to that restaurant. As for the pasta - al dente is obviously unknown in this restaurant, and the the carbonara sauce was tasteless. The pizza much to thick, but not much on it. My complaints were not taken seriously - service level... More

Pizza is very good, same thing with service, and the place is really nice. It's insanely expensive for a pizza place though - 1 pizza, 1 martini (I'll say there was 50 ml in the glass, max) and 1 beer costed me around 1000 baht, or 33$. That's very expensive for Bangkok.

Eat here regularly. Good food - can recommend caprese salad, spinach and mozarella bake and pizzas. Service also good; only downside is that its a bit pricey

Good pizza, good wine and decent staff. The best thing was actually the older man on the door who held an umbrella over us and got us a taxi. Little things like that matter.

We happened along Basilico a few years ago and have returned at least once on every trip. The pizza is great, the wine is good, and the service is great!

Thank Jimi B

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
