Edoya in the Charn Issara 1 office building appeared in a number of websites of recommended Japanese eateries in Bangkok and so we decided to stray from our norm & check it out. Good initial signs were that there were a number of tables occupied by Japanese office types munching over their lunch sets. Edoya wasn't much to look at... More

Food was very poor and was not a good sign either that we were the only people eating there!! The staff tried to be helpful but no-one spoke english and the menu was not understandable at all. Very disappointed considering its location.

The first thing I noticed was that the clientele was mostly Japanese, an encouraging sign. The food was authentic and tasty and the service was impeccable

Surely, there are planty of good Japanese restaurants in Bangkok but Edoya offers one of best value for money lunch set menus during lunch time. Always, packed with Japanese or Thai customers during lunch hour. Restaurant's lunch hours close after 2PM so make sure you go before 1:30PM. Good service and decent authentic Japanese food. They have a private dadami... More

A nice variety of salads, sushi and sashimi platters, soups, noodles, etc. Nice place to go with friends and have dinner with some good saki.

I don't have a lot of details to express as I am a regular customer here. Service and food is top notch. Sushi is above average. Prices are great. Keep up the good work. Ask the staff for off the menu specials. Also, would consider this place for dinner, but they need better sake or alcohol to entice me for... More

Ordered the Agedashi tofu and meat skewers. The tofu was fine but the meat skewers were awful. Tasted as though the meat had been sitting in a freezer for a year or two. My friend was similarly unimpressed with his sushi.

The Nabeyaki Udon here was fantastic, there was a perfect balance of noodles to meat and vegetables and the soup base was rich and well balanced.

Good set lunch and service with reasonable price in the heart of Bangkok. You can go there by BTS or MRT and walk only 5-10 mins.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
