When we walked in, it was completely empty so we were a bit apprehensive to begin with. Although the ambiance of the restaurant isn't great - the food was delicious. We ordered the Prawn biryani, tandoori chicken, lamb curry and the tandoori tikka. The food was well presented and tasted fantastic. The staff were polite and attentive especially the Bengali... Once you step in you feel you have walked in India in a Indian restaurant. The staff is courteous and food served has lot many options of traditional Indian food as we even ordered some 'Missi Roti.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday before my departure from Bangkok and was not impressed with the service. The spicy papad they served had several mosquitoes sitting on it. The bread had flies and the glass had spots. The food is pricy compared to expensive restaurants in the US. The lady who took the order was standing outside the small... More

First of all, I used to work in an Indian restaurant as an admin so here is why I don't recommend others to try: My friend and I went to Bawarchi restaurant in Sukhumvit Soi 11 and I had placed an order of 3 items and 2 beverages and it took me half an hour for 3 dishes to come... More

Opted for this restaurant for dinner as it was very near to where we stayed. The North Indian cuisine was very very good. Take away was also available. What's more if you want to eat in your room, they do delivery to hotels in Sukhumvit Area.

Had a early lunch at Bawarchi and have to say that food was actually really good, service was excellent, only negative that it was a bit pricy. All other food was excellent, only the Gobi Masala had too much masala, but some people like it that way. Highly recommended to try

We have been to this place for dinner along with friends. It is really one of the best joint for Indian food on Sukhumvit. The ambience also is very beautiful. Service hundred percent. I recommend if you are on Sukhumvit do visit this place.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
