I can get by on seedy, as i have been Sukhumvit and stayed near Asoke which is as seedy as it gets but this soi was disgusting, full of arab playboys and 'working women' of all nationalities including arab girls, all you see is old men with big thai women walking around and get hounded by the girls, even the... The street is so busy , but you can find there halal restaurants , kebab , grilled meats with Mandy . There is also a Thai seafood restaurant which is fairly priced , their kitchen is outside so you can have a look how they are preparing the food. They have big aquariums you can choose fresh seafoods. If you... More

Like the diversity of this predominately arab area. Full of hussle and bustle amongst some shadey areas. Worth a couple of hours exploring.

Soi 3, also called Soi Arab for obvious reasons, has tons of overpriced places to eat. A tourist trap, or perhaps better described as a place for those who just want their home culture but in Bangkok. The one place we do eat is a tiny Thai place which is actually on the next soi along, Soi 3/1. It is... More

Soi 3 is a road, often full of traffic. It isn't a restaurant, or a coherent street food area, per se. There are numerous restaurants, and a few roadside food preparers. Some are OK. Some may not be. One could have a similar listing for each road (thanon), soi, and maybe trok, in Bangkok. And each such listing could be... More

I have lived on soi 3 for ten years. I see the conditions here going somewhere I never expected. The shops are not as clean on the street frontage and the prices for foods have escalated, beyond the prices for foodstuffs just two soi's away.If this is due to the middle eastern influence I can't assess but prices and conditions... This is Arab and Indian town. All sorts of Arab and Indian food. Neat to check out. Didn't eat anything here but cool to see.
