We are regulars at this restaurant and it never disappoints! Great authentic Swiss food with a vast selection of dishes of all regions and seasons, plus the very friendly service if staff and owners- we will be back soon!

It is always nice to be at Chesa and meet the hosts Thomas and Rene. The menu is since years the same but there is a large selection on the daily special. Very good quality food nice wine list. Good entertainment. But do not expect perfect service.

We tried schnitzel and fried perch, and both were delicious. One came with fries and veggies, and the other came with spatzel and veggies. There's a great wine list, but we weren't in the mood. Service was good, and the prices were a bit higher than average for Bangkok. Will definitely visit again, next time we're in town.

When in Bangkok we always like to visit Chesa once and this we did for dinner in January. Actually nothing had changed since our last visit and the restaurant is starting to look a bit tired like the waitresses. One air conditioner was spraying water out and frightened a family of three away. The restaurant seemed devoid of any atmosphere.... More

This is the first time we tried this restaurant based on a friends recommendation. If you're ready for something different it's worth a try. Hidden away in a nice secluded street we had a very nice meal. One of our group had the fondue which is probably what I'd recommend. It was really tasty. The other food was perfectly fine.... More

I'm a huge fan of Wiener Schnitzel, but it is hard to find done well in Bangkok. Most of the German restaurants use too thick of cuts of pork and smother it in batter that is deep fried to a hard crust. Chesa is a Swiss restaurant, and they have easily the best Wiener Schnitzel in town... thin cuts, lightly... More

Looking for a relaxed atmosphere, superbly prepared and served European food, then you can't beat Chesa. Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the trouble of finding.

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
