Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Tara Bar has some interesting architecture going on, which is what caught my eye while out for a walk. The music then drew me in. A lively place located on the main road just on the other side of the Ping River (Eastern side...of the river). Had a few beers here. Interior design work was well done. The night I went here they had a Thai band playing a variety of music - very enjoyable! Nice place to kick back and relax for a while.More

If you’re looking for a nice and cosy place in Chiang Mai, please try the "Tara Bar". It’s a new place owned by the De Naga Hotel, having good wines by the glass, delicious snacks and you will be surrounded by live Jazz music. It’s...a must to try it.More

Located in a large building along the Ping River across from the Night Bazaar, with a design that offers an intimate experience with a remarkable rock band. The talented musicians seamlessly shift from classic rock to contemporary Thai songs. The lead singer has an amazing...voice and an engaging personality to ensure an enjoyable evening for Thai and foreign customers alike. The extensive menu included some creative appetizers, and a wide selection of Thai, Japanese and Western food, along with tap beer and all the best drinks. Service is efficient and friendly and there is ample parking. The staff at the entrance can assist those who need a taxi. Great place for a lively evening. Best on weekends.More

Reputed as a Thai hangout, it was very inviting as an expat. A mix of English and Thai music performed by local groups was very entertaining. We enjoyed a 5 Thai dish dinner and several of the International cocktails. Staff was very friendly and whole...evening set us back 2100 baht. Very good value and recommended for a lively night out on the Ping River.More
