We found this restaurant by accident just wandering in the Old town and it didn't disappoint us! The service was super friendly, food and cocktails were delicious and there was live music even though only two tables in the restaurant were taken!

I took my wife here to celebrate the end of our month long honeymoon. I decided on it after reading that they had the best food/experience in Old Town. The food and the atmosphere didn't disappoint. We loved the crab spring rolls and the Tamarind...More

I went to Tamarind mainly because cultural exhibit by Chicago music and anthropology researcher Victoria Vorreiter. The exhibit is first rate, from ably better than Lanna museum in Chiang Mai. The restaurant is top notch.

Brilliant food and service, if a little pricey, but well worth it. Eating here at night is hard work if you sit outside as it is very dark - you struggle to see what you're eating! The food is excellent though so don't worry!

The Tamarind Village is a boutique hotel set in a converted house that, as I understand it, once belonged to a member of the royal family. Like in some of the Spanish Paradores, the architects and interior designers have done a wonderful job of preserving...More
